This one is free now, Merry Holidaze.

We welcome longtime MMA writer Ben Fowlkes (Uncrowned, the Co-Main Event Podcast) onto the show to discuss the bouquet of assaults, both sexual and conventional, that Conor McGregor has committed recently. It appears as if he went method for his role as a coked-up maniac in Road House and then just got stuck like that or something.

Next up, we talk about the United Health CEO getting murked on a sidewalk in Manhattan. Murder is very bad, but also so is letting people die to keep your company’s stock price high? Idk. However you feel about it is valid and don’t be smarmed into thinking otherwise.

Other topics include:

  • Noted Expert On Stuff Sean Penn weighing in on Hunter Biden

  • Spotify’s top podcasts (no Frotcast or Pod Yourself? Bullshit!)

  • Jeff Bezos using his app, which has been downloaded by hundreds of millions of people, to send a push notification promoting his girlfriend’s book.

    • Maybe it’s just a really good children’s book, despite her never having written a book before, and the subject being…a fly who…flew to space.

    • Fuck. This fucking sucks, man.

      • Fuck.

Check out Ben Fowlkes’ work on X THE EVERYTHING APP @benfowlkesMMA and on Yahoo Sports. Frot on!

First time I've ever went "fuckin ell" seeing the title pop up in my notifications

The smosh reads reddit show is pretty good. Wild stories. It’s not good enough to be in the top ten though.

The "Prison seems kinda sick actually" discussion is the most Dad of Young Kids conversation I've ever heard.

I say this with 1000% sympathy. My kids are teens, but I remember the trenches of preschool.

Thinking about “What’s the centrist ‘Blowback?’ I think the second season of ‘Slow Burn’ would fit the bill. It came out right after the first season of Blowback that centered around the invasion of Iraq, and their second season covered the same ground but would interview people directly involved in it as to convey the thesis that “everybody involved really tried to do their best to get to a positive outcome and well, we missed the mark.” It was the most shamelessly credulous “well, actually” kind of rebuttal to what we all know, it was maddening

oh jesus, I half-literately thought you were saying comedy superidol Conner O'Malley committed a bouquet of assaults, and was heart-stricken until i overcame my Irish name dyslexia.

Oh man, re:monsters acting as mercenaries in politics - I randomly worked on the Bernie campaign in 2020 in the most apolitical role you can after never working in politics before. (I put on the rallies and shit, it was insanely fun.) Once Beto dropped out, we picked up some folks doing the same job for him in the middle of the campaign and it fucked me up. I couldn't get, "you fuckin lost! Go away!" out of my head whenever I'd see 'em. It just wrinkled my brain that they basically "pledged" for a candidate but could then just...move on to the next one. Luckily they sucked so we got rid of them, but I just kept seeing people doing that shit all over the place before and after. Tons of friends I made on the campaign just do that job year round and for basically whoever. Which like, I sorta got for the "advance" job I did, you don't have to pretend to have any sort of ideology to do it. It's the messaging people that jump from whoever - hi, Symone Sanders - that really kill me. I will say tho, Michael Bloomberg paid people on his campaign INSANELY well so I get why that guy did it. Bloomberg stiffed them like crazy when he dropped out tho, he said he was going to keep paying them and he obviously did not.
