When it comes to Oliver and his power, Mark is willing to endure a beating if it means holding back enough to avoid killing his opponent. This is evident in Episode 1, where Drop Kick and Fight Master were defeated by a normal person, Rex. However, Mark took longer to defeat the twin he was facing because he didn't want to accidentally kill him trying to end the fight fast. Oliver, at the beginning of the episode, doesn't understand this viewpoint or (as cheesy as it is to say) the responsibility of his powers. By the end, he gains a better understanding of what Mark and Debbie have been trying to convey the last 2 episodes or at least the beginning steps!

Oliver is already an S tier character. Remember that Oliver is not human, he’s half Thraxan, half Viltrumite. Thraxans live very short lives, and he was there when his planet was decimated by 3 Viltrumites before taking Nolan, so he’s used to death. Plus, he only experienced Nolan after he changed, and Thraxans look forward, so he doesn’t know what the big deal is.
