All Zeke had to do was go up to the wall and knock on the door. They would've let him in. Then he could go find his dad and talk about the sterilization plan. See if they can't come up with a better idea. But no, Reiner and Bertholdt tear open the wall and thousands die.

Y’all remember Shadis’ backstory episode where he realized he was just a bystander in the world and not a special person who makes a difference. No one knows he was there and died there with Magath. So even his death won’t be remembered.

Since you guys mentioned "The Pacific" that made me remember another phenomenal WW2 film that takes place in the Pacific Theater during WW2. The movie is called "The Thin Red Line" (1998) and it is a crazy good movie.

It's safe to assume everyone in Marley thought Grisha was dead since Zeke turned him in. Pretty sure Zeke only knew of his father's whereabouts once Reiner and Bertholdt informed him who Eren was.
