Yeah that's the thing with these types of plots. Don't think too logically about it. Take the movie MEGAN as well: a robot programmed to take care of a child starts murdering people and eventually goes against the person who made her starting to have her own will. It makes zero sense in the end. Plus (randomly) thinking of the series Choco Milkshake for example I was thinking about watching it, but the owner of the pets ends up dating the dog no? 😅 Also really weird lol. I should just not think about it too much and enjoy the shows for what they are haha. I did have hope for this to go the "I'm Not A Robot" route, but alas.

Humanoid robots with the capacity of human emotion is a classic plot point in science fiction that has been used for decades. So anyone trying to look at the story in regards to how it looks like in relation to our current implementation of AI (which isn’t really AI yet as there isn’t much intelligence in the way it gathers and compiles data to present information) is probably approaching it in the wrong way. At some point in the future we are likely going to be able to create an AI system that is able to mimic the human experience to the point of being indistinguishable from real humans. This only exists in sci-fi now, and unlikely to get there in our lifetimes, but it probably isn’t as totally out of the realm of possibility as many think.
