From what Sunwoo told about his coming out in the jenga episode, I feel that him not being in a relationship at that time was best for him. I think he needed that alone time to really think about what he wanted to do and who he wanted to be in a romantic relationship. I'm also very annoyed at that love triangle, I feel like if Minsung actually wanted to be with Joon, he would've go to him and ask him how he felt and why he didn't join the group chat instead of making assumptions. Also Jin really be annoying and making everyone uncomfortable. I thought last episode Minsung said he felt like that too, but apparently not. Joon is right to be removing himself from the equation. To spare himself more hurt. I agree with you for Chung-ook, he truly deserved better.

Totally agree that HyeongJin is treating this as a competition to be won. I understand that it's nice to feel attractive, but when you see that HyeongJoon is genuinely smitten, it just feels a bit mean; Let the boy have his shot.
