So, the problem with this show, is....Zombies! Well, not zombies in particular, but in a planet steeped in zombie lore, we all collectively know HOW to kill a zombie. Go for the head! Even in new Zombie shows, the characters know what a zombie is vs everyone in past decades being baffled by the walking dead. The same is true for time travel. We all seemed to have been steeped in time travel lore. Watching Lydia try to apply all the rules we have learned together, we are are own little experts on it, and it can be frustrating watching a character, from present day, that has no idea about time travel. Don't get me wrong, I am loving this show, but as we are all time travel experts, we collectively know that he needed to have cash on him, some spare clothes, or at least have someone almost immediately take him under their wing so he can actually live in the past for an extended period of time. Having the boy he likes take him in as a temp roommate would have solved so much of the logic we try to apply, and a chance to form a close bond. Like, where did he get toothpaste? Toilet Paper? Maybe a little exposition at the beginning that he works for tips, and had a lot of cash on him, which is unusual in 2022, other than tips. A backpack with some changes of clothes. Also, maybe establish our lead as being on the Autism Spectrum. As Lydia says, he is just WEIRD. He is in not adaptable enough to pull off a time travel adventure. Surely our lead knows a bit about time travel lore? At least he knows he can 'try' to effect the outcome. He needs to be friendly and gregarious in order to make alliances. I know that's not what this is about, but just tweak here and there, and we could all just gloss over the obvious issues covering the bare necessities of living in a modern world. Anyway, love the series, and am intrigued by how they will pull this together for a happy or sad ending.

I'm just ignoring all of these problems, and desperately hoping that the solution isn't for Mr Time Traveller to die in his place, meaning that his life is saved, but they can never be together. Because that would suck. And yes, they could get together in 10 years time with a 17 year age difference, but that's kinda pushing it on the 'acceptable relationship' front...
