Join @TheEsotericaChannel & @AtunSheiFilms for a Tour of Esoteric New England 2026

Join Andy Rakich (Atun-Shei Films) & Dr. Justin Sledge (Esoterica) for an October tour of Esoteric New England, October 9-16 2026: The tour will start in rural Rhode Island visiting forgotten King Philip's War battlefields, then pass through Providence to see H.P. Lovecraft's old neighborhood. Entering Massachusetts, we'll visit New Bedford, historic center of the whaling industry, and get to see living history sites at Plimoth Patuxet Museums. We'll enjoy fireside drinks in an early 18th century haunted house, explore Walden Pond and the sites where the Revolutionary War began, and check out the headquarters of a Puritan alchemist. Finally, we'll wrap things up (where else) in Salem, center of the 1692 witchcraft delusion and the Halloween capital of America. Full itinerary will be sent upon ticket purchase. Exact times will be provided closer to the start of the tour. This tour will be primarily a fundraiser for Andy and Justin’s short “The Alchemist” with the hopes of eventually producing a feature length version. You’ll get to see scripts, our look-book, and help shape our vision for the project: an attempt to center historically accurate alchemy in film. What’s Included: A week of on-location tours, education, meals, drinks and hang-outs with Andy and Justin. What’s NOT included: Airfare, hotels, transportation, meals, drinks, site tickets. This will be a bit of gonzo tourism. Participants will have access to a private discord server to coordinate shared hotels, overland transportation to sites, etc.

See you guys there! I'm just a hop, skip and jump away in Hudson Valley, NY.

I’d love to go! Could you clarify, it says under what’s included “on-location tours, meals, drinks” …what’s not included “meals, drinks, site tickets”. Just trying to figure out how much this will likely cost in total to see if I can afford it.

What a wonderful event this is going to be! I’ll be moving to PA in the spring. I doubt there will be slots available by time I’m settled from the move from OR. But I’d love to be on a standby list with a +1. If not….27 might be my lucky number.

The trip sounds great for the lucky people who will be able to go. I'm very much looking forward to the film which sounds like it will be fantastic. I'll enjoy next week topic as well. I'm glad you're starting to get better.

Now that I'm in New England again I can make the trip but I just bought a 130 year-old house in Maine that has needed more than a little TLC so it's hard for me to drop a grand at the moment. I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed it doesn't sell out before I'm able to pick up a ticket.

Amazing! Wish I could go, but the money just isn't there for a trip like this (nor is there any assured safety in air travel under the current administration for folks like me without possibly losing our IDs due to confiscation, etc.). If I could convince a friend of mine to drive (who has an RV), that would be a possibility, I suppose...but anyway, I hope it goes well, and I look forward to the film!

Donna Gerrard

Bought two tickets so me and my partner can come hang out with you!

I just now became aware of this tour 😭 Would you consider doing another one?? It would be a dream to go!
