This week's Play to Find Out talkback episode was recorded mere MOMENTS before the team of Quinns, Emily and Rob recorded the dramatic finale of their Nobilis season.

Think of this as the chat in the locker room before the big fight. Quinns is shadow-boxing in the corner. Rob is adjusting his jockstrap. Emily is apply anti-perspirant to her armpits, elbows, ears and eyeballs. It's almost time for us to do this.

But first: A chat! Enjoy, everybody.

Regarding the discussion on how exactly Roads fits (or doesn't) into the domain of the Imperator of Home, it's worth noting that many (most) of the example Imperators in the 2nd Ed rulebook don't have a completely thematically coherent set of domains/estates. For example the example Imperator of Light - Askelon, is Tremors, the Culinary Arts and the Forge. On the practical side I imagine this makes actually running a game much easier since a group of players can pick domains for their nobles without much restriction and then the Imperator can be retroactively built to fit that particular spread of concepts. On the creative side it's fun to try and think of the practical and philosophical implications of a single entity embodying what seem to humans to be mismatched of contradictory concepts AND it preserves mystery in the setting by not forcing Imperators to be neatly grouped into coherent sets of sub-concepts (which are, after all, usually human-derived taxonomies). Adding to that, these weird groupings of concepts are then inflected by the Heaven/Hell/Light/Dark/Wild/Divine/Big Snake taxonomy so I think you could make a lot of hay wondering about why Mercy might fall under the domain of an Imperator of Hell, or what it would mean for Pizza to be the domain of a Wild Lord who was born outside the bounds of creation.

Im sorry the right sucks but you don't have to discard cool things because they like them. Hitler was vegetarian. Im still gonna eat salad. Norse mythology is dope! If they can co-opt it so can you.
