So... yeah, exposure to the void wasn’t recommended for C-grade mortals. In fact, it was already considered pretty damn impressive that Jake and the Sword Saint had managed to stay conscious despite Oras unleashing some of his power.

Besides his Bloodline definitely playing some kind of role, Jake guessed his constant exposure to the void through his void lollipop had also inadvertently helped raise his resistance to the place.

As for the Sword Saint... well, the fact he was fine probably came from another peculiarity of the void. The first time the old man had traveled through the void, he had gained inspiration from it and even tried to integrate the void into his swordsmanship before realizing it was too early for him to attempt such a thing.

Everyone saw the Void Gods differently based on who they were. The Sword Saint’s mindset was one that Jake would say operated at a pretty high level, just based on how damn talented he was at comprehending complicated concepts.

Of course, even the Sword Saint hadn’t found the experience of witnessing Oras in action pleasant, but there were some damn freaks out there who could stare at a Void God while being all fine.

Someone like Arnold wasn’t affected negatively when traveling in the void or even looking at Void Gods due to his... unique mind. Sure, if he were exposed directly to the void, he would still instantly die, but could look at it with no problem.

Okay, granted, even Arnold would have a bad time if he closely studied a Void God for too long, but not because of his mind being unable to comprehend what he was looking at. To him, it would be more like how one felt after reading a complicated calculus book for half a day, and after looking up, would feel all groggy and see random numbers everywhere.

The state the King, Sylphie, and Dina found themselves in couldn’t be said to be quite that harmless, as the three of them indeed soon awoke. Dina was the first of the three to wake up, something that surprised Jake a little, as he had honestly believed the King to be first.

Of the three, the Golden Forest King definitely had the most powerful soul, yet he ended up being the last to awake, with even Sylphie awaking with a loud screech not long after Dina.

The two of them were naturally confused about what was going on, forcing Jake and the Sword Saint to explain what had gone down after Oras had been summoned. Dina seemed to instantly accept the situation after realizing a Void God had been the cause of her mind shutting down, while Sylphie swore that the next time she would be totally fine.

It ended up taking nearly an entire half an hour more before the Unique Lifeform finally stirred. Jake was already waiting by the side of the King and literally looked down on him as the wisps of soul light sparked in the eye-holes of his mask.

“Wakey wakey princess,” Jake grinned, the King’s attention instantly landing on him. It took the Unique Lifeform a few more moments before he spoke.

“That was the Void God Oras, correct?”

“Sure was,” Jake said with a nod. “My gamble paid off and...”

Jake proceeded to give a quick overview once more, wanting to get the King up to speed as fast as necessary. After his explanation, the King was quiet again, considering his words.

“Unknown enemies... powerful backing... certainly not a matter for the likes of us to deal with,” the King knew his own limitations. “It was good the Void God agreed to assist; if not, I do fully believe my brief return to life would have promptly ended again, and I fear the killing blow of a god wouldn’t be something I had any way back from. I would hope a deity could finish the job properly.”

“Yeah, I prefer not to think about it too much,” Jake waved the Unique Lifeform off. “As you said, that’s a matter for the gods to consider or deal with. I think we mortals have enough problems ourselves to handle already. Speaking of problems... I would be kind of embarrassed if I were you. Out of our entire Nevermore group, you handled this the worst by far. The Sword Saint wasn’t even knocked out, while Sylphie and Dina woke up a while ago, and we’ve just been waiting for you.”

The Unique Lifeform glared up at Jake. “You do realize the stupidity inherent in the statement you just made, do you not? What kind of Void God is Oras? He’s a being embodying the very concept of observation. Of seeing. You four, how did you observe Oras? With your eyes, no? Now ask yourself, how did I foolishly attempt to see the Void God? How much more did I inadvertently observe in the moment his presence overtook the void? How much more incomprehensible information entered my mind and soul compared to you?”

“Wow, so your excuse is that you don’t have eyes,” Jake joked back, snickering at the King. Did the Unique Lifeform totally have a point? Of course. He didn’t see the world using eyes like everyone else had, but instead used a unique method of soul perception. While what Jake saw using his eyes had already been headache-inducing, he could only begin to imagine what the King had seen... actually, scratch that, he didn’t even want to try to imagine.

“I do indeed have a superior method of observing the world compared to the rest of you, and in this rare instance, that proved a detriment.”

Deciding to no longer lie down, the King floated himself out of the bed he was in and turned toward the living room where the others were relaxing. Oh, and by the others, Jake meant Dina, Sylphie, and the Sword Saint. After people had started to wake up, the two gods had left to leave the mortals to talk on their own without having to deal with the presence of two gods weighing down on them.

“Well... things didn’t exactly go as planned, but I guess we got here in the end,” Jake said as he also looked toward the living room. “Luckily, it doesn’t sound like there’s any big welcome ceremony or anything, so we’ll be going straight to my place. After that, I don’t know what you all are planning.”

“I shall return to Earth,” the King said. “Despite a faint apprehension about traveling through the void once more, I deem it best I return and fulfill the duties I took upon myself by being part of the World Council.”

“Yeah, the Sword Saint said something similar,” Jake nodded. “Sylphie also mentioned she wants to go back and visit her parents. As for Dina and me, I believe we both have some business in the Order, but once that’s all dealt with, I’ll likely also go home for a bit.”

The King nodded as the two of them went into the living room to join the others. With everyone awake now and feeling a little better, all they needed was for the gods to return and handle the teleportation.

Speaking of gods... Jake wondered where the two of them had gone and what they were doing.

--

Artemis was nervous, to say the least. Sure, she’d been in the same room as the Malefic Viper several times before; this was her first time being alone with him. Before this era, all she had known about the Viper was the stories told about him and what the gods she’d spoken to, who’d lived back when he was active, conveyed.

While there were many opinions of the Malefic Viper, one thing they all shared was the sentiment that one should never get on the bad side of the Primordial. He was a god with dozens of stories revolving around vengeance, and while some gods prided themselves on taking the high road and acting superior, the Malefic One happily went as low as he had to if it meant accomplishing his goals.

He was ruthless, callous, cruel, and in the eyes of many downright evil. If all the Primordials were ranked by the general mortal of the multiverse on a scale of “good” to “evil,” the Holy Mother would take the first spot and the Malefic Viper the last. He was feared for a reason, and in all honesty, Artemis had never even imagined she would meet the Malefic Viper, much less spend time around him.

She had seriously considered rejecting his suggestion that they go elsewhere to allow the mortals to be on their own for a while during their wait. However, Jake had seemed to think it was a good idea, and Artemis ultimately agreed, which was how she found herself in a second living room absolutely identical to the one she had just left.

“My guess is that the Unique Lifeform will take quite a bit longer to wake up, courtesy of his method of perception,” the Malefic Viper spoke shortly after they appeared there. “That being the case, what do you want? What’s your poison?”

Artemis took a moment to gather herself as she looked at the Viper, who smiled.

“I’m talking spirits. Unless you do want one of my personal concoctions,” the Viper said. “Though I can’t promise it will be quite as rewarding as the last tonic you ingested.”

“Oh,” Artemis said. “I’ll just have whatever the Malefic One has on offer, thank you. I also do want to once more thank you for the gift that-“

“Save it,” the Malefic Viper waved her off dismissively. “I already told you; any credit goes to Jake. Without him being in the picture, why would I ever bother helping out someone who struggled to reach Godqueen on her own?”

Artemis wanted to say something, but didn’t really have a rebuttal as the Viper continued.

“Then again, the fact that you so easily broke through with a little push does show you had the ability to. Perhaps you were just lacking that one fortuitous opportunity, which I guess meeting Jake through your image in the Nevermore Challenge Dungeon ended up being,” the Primordial continued as he summoned two bottles of liquid and threw one of them toward her.

She caught it and suppressed her desire to over-inspect the bottle as she took a small drink, finding the contents surprisingly delicious. After taking a small swig, she nodded.

“It may just be the luckiest encounter I've had since reaching godhood,” she said, knowing that hiding her thoughts on the area wouldn’t make any sense. “I’ve found myself progressing at a whole new pace after meeting Jake.”

“Yeah, he tends to have that effect on people,” the Malefic Viper said, taking a drink himself. “Which brings me nicely to my next question... is that why you want to pursue a relationship with him?”

Artemis was taken aback and stared at the Viper, who looked back at her with rather cold eyes.

“Don’t get me wrong, I don’t really intend to get involved in Jake’s private life more than he allows me to, but I still want to see myself as the older and wiser friend who’s watching out for him in case bad actors try to take advantage,” the Primordial continued as he smiled. “However, going by your reaction to my question, that doesn’t seem to be the case.”

A cold sweat ran down Artemis’ back as she remained taken aback. She hadn’t even considered the notion that she could be the one possibly taking advantage, considering she was a Godqueen and Jake was a C-grade mortal. The very idea seemed ludicrous... even if Artemis did have to admit that so far, it felt like Jake had helped her more than she had helped him.

“I will also say, things have a funny way of working out,” the Viper continued. “Through my tonic, you managed to evolve to Godqueen, but if you hadn’t, it was entirely possible recent events wouldn’t have ended as well as they did.”

Artemis could only nod slowly at that. If that clash in the void had happened before she became a Godqueen, she for sure wouldn’t have survived.

“Now, come on, loosen up a bit, you’ll be the premier delegate from the Pantheon of Life going forward, and I’m sure we’ll share the same space plenty of times in the future, both in private and professional settings,” the Malefic One said in a casual tone.

“I do apologize. I’m not used to interacting with Primordials,” Artemis said, just being honest about her situation.

“Better adapt, then,” the Viper smirked. “Let’s not have things be too awkward in the future. It would be a darn shame if the two most important people in Jake’s life didn’t get along.”

Artemis once again slowly nodded as she mustered up the courage to ask a question she had genuine wanted to know the answer to for a long time: “This may be presumptuous to ask, and I know Jake’s point of view, but I also want to ask you... Do you truly view Jake as a friend first and foremost? An equal?”

Despite having heard it several times, and even considering Artemis’ own relationship with Jake, a part of her still found the notion hard to accept, so she felt like she needed confirmation from the Primordial himself.

The Viper raised an eyebrow and answered rather coldly. “If I merely saw him as my Chosen, would I bother even attempting to know you? From my point of view, your most extraordinary trait is your ability to attract Jake, and if not for that, you would just be another god not worthy of consideration. So yes, I do genuinely view him as a friend, and by extension, I’ll acknowledge you.”

“I guess I can only thank the Malefic One for his honesty,” Artemis said, not exactly sure how she should feel about the far superior god being so curt.

“No reason to beat around the bush, now is there?” the Viper shrugged as he finished his bottle.

Artemis also took another big chug, just enjoying the spirits she doubted many other Godkings or Godqueens would ever have the honor of experiencing. The more she considered everything, including the fact that she was currently sitting in a room drinking what she assumed to be beer with the Malefic Viper, she once more had to confront just how much Jake’s presence in her life had changed things.

Even though she tried to help Jake as much as she could, she knew that he would likely always end up helping her more without even trying to. He was like a wellspring of Records that didn’t have a turnoff faucet.

“I’ll try my best,” she eventually said.

“Good enough,” the Viper smiled and leaned back. “Do also remember that getting in my good graces would be your best move.”

Again, to Artemis, that went without say-

“I know all of Jake’s most embarrassing moments, and as his best buddy could be convinced to share,” the Primordial grinned.

“That... is something I may be interested in hearing more about,” Artemis said, genuinely curious.

“All things in good time,” the snake god chuckled.

The two of them were mostly silent for the next while, as Artemis still felt incredibly awkward, even if she definitely tried. What little conversation they did have ended up being of the professional sort, as that was way more comfortable for her.

Eventually, the Unique Lifeform finally awakened, being the last just as the Malefic One had predicted. Upon seeing this, the Viper stood up and stretched while letting out a loud sigh.

“Oh well, back to work,” he said, even throwing in an exaggerated yawn.

Artemis tried to ignore it and nodded as she also stood and prepared to rejoin Jake and the others. The Viper lifted his hand, mana mobilizing, but before he teleported them away, he turned to look at her.

“Ah, Artemis, one last thing,” the Malefic Viper said, his tone casual and with a smile on his face. “Do be a good partner, alright?”

He didn’t need to speak the implied threat behind those words, making a cold shiver run down Artemis’ spine as she nevertheless stood her ground.

“I thought you said you wouldn’t get involved in Jake’s private life more than he allows?”

The Malefic Viper raised an eyebrow as his smile deepened. “See? We’re already getting along! Now let’s go.”

🤣 Love the interaction between Artemis, and the viper. 🤣

Jabirttok

Villy is such a good friend.

Ravert

Well shit I'm back to my addiction

Unwillingmainer

Viper is a good friend despite being a bit of an asshole. He wants to make Jake isn't being taken advantage of and if not, would like for things to be less awkward around his new squeeze. Like a buddy getting the downlow on a new girlfriend while they are in the bathroom. Funs stuff and massive Friday cliff!

This was truly a wholesome interaction

Tftc it should be remembered Ville is quite the skemmer

Awe villy is acting all dad like giving artemis the old "if you break her heart ill break your neck" speach. All he needs to do is conjur up a shotgun to clean. Yes I know in thos scenario jake is villy's little girl. But I said what I said.

jobe matula

Man I want a Villy of my own !

That... was... awesome! TFTC!

Good looking out, Villy!

Fixing palette, leveling up more through minagas dungeon or alchemy and lastly, hunting a true dragon. Thats at least 2 or 3 months worth of content before B grade

TFTC :) Have a great weekend all :) Suggested edits: No notes :D Well a small one about the "harmless" line seeming a bit wonky but meh.

Villy filling that older brother role🤣. This was a great look….shows another way the Viper does care about Jake as a friend!! Although he is a serious hard a$$ towards others Geesh 🤣. TFTC!!

Thanks for the great chapter and hope you and everyone else has a great weekend. Edit suggestion “The state the King, Sylphie, and Dina found themselves in -couldn’t- (could) be said to be -quite that- (relatively ) harmless, as the three of them indeed soon awoke.

Talmadge Hires

Wonder if Jake’s bloodline is helping Artemis withstand the primordial aura?

Forgive the expression, but bro's before **** Villa being the best wingman

Wselby64

We already got confirmed it when artemis talked to Ygg after nevermore she said she did benefit

I mean as older and wiser best buddies go, Villy is just about as old and as wise as it is possible to be. Jake scored a serious bargain when Villy forced his blessing on him. Tyftc

Great chapter, really enjoyed these interactions. Villy POVs are always a treat, but this one was espacially hillarious

Dave

Don’t forget the B grades evolution prerequisite quests. They could overlap like last time but you never know.

A. B. Edwards

So we always see Villy as the fun goofy God he is. But it is nice to be reminded, he is the Malefic Viper. He is not a good person. He is, at best, a villain of epic proportions you don't want to anger. I think Artemis handled that better than any of us would have.

Jordan Rogers

If only it was daily, I’m glad he has the ability to rest and stay as productive as he does. But some of those weekend cliffs have been difficult to endure

Villy giving the shovel talk! He did say way back in the beginning that he would step in to make sure Jake wasn’t targeted by gods who might hurt Jake bc of his ties to Villy. While we have no reason to think Artemis would do this, he still has to make sure she knows his stance. But I also love the idea that Jake brings out Villy’s softer side. This really makes me want to know more about his wife and child and his relationship with Nature’s Attendant. And Artemis getting a little steel in her spine! Does she get a system achievement for surviving that?

Kt-x

Thanks for the chapter

Phil Ritter

Villy is the perfect example of a guy who is really cold on the outside but once you get to know him he is a sweetheart. I can’t even begin to imagine all the benefits Artemis will be able to enjoy with a friend like Villy. Artemis will either die due to her involvement with Jake leading to some major character development for him or being involved with so many strong existences will catapult her to the top. I don’t see any other options which imo is why she is the perfect wife material for Jake Edit: while I do agree that I don’t want any of his friends to die keeping everyone alive till godhood would be a disservice to the achievement of becoming a god. The only ones I think have a high chance of reaching godhood for now seem to be Jake, Myamoto and potentially Silvie. Everyone else including Carmen and Caleb seem like a big wildcard

Chris Connolly

Nice. I wonder if Villy slipped something into that beer. Like a tracker or even a dormant poison he can activate if Artemis ever fucks up and does something not in Jake’s best interest. Even if Jake would never let him use it, I can’t imagine Villy not having a fail safe installed. Maybe even some kind of karmic trigger that will activate if her karma towards Jake ever turns sour

Eden

Acceptable cliff hanger, we basically just ended an arc and onto a new one, after meria shenanigans

ThatGuy

Big bro villy might be my favorite villy

Phil Ritter

While that would be funny I’d hope his love life will stay uncomplicated and Meira is the type to go broke trying to reach the main wife position imo. Also Jake already clarified that she is more like a sister he cares about than a genuine love interest so a friends with benefits situation would only hurt her feelings more in the long run. I hope he just ends it here with her so she can start to heal instead of having hopes that won’t come to fruition

Chris Connolly

Imagine in like 100 years from now Artemis is looking at Jake gain power so effortlessly or something and has a pang of jealousy, then her arm falls off

Phil Ritter

I could imagine Villy being all meek in front of his wife which is a really funny mental image.

DeAndrea H

Oof. I would hate for her to get fridged for Jake’s character development. That’s been done to death and with Villy already having a dead wife and child whose tragic deaths greatly influenced his personality and reputation, I think it would be a little tropey.

Namorat

Always fascinating to see this side of villy. How little he cares for others. It's too easy to forget sometimes that he's the villain others view him as.

Phil Ritter

Fully agree it kinda sucks you were asleep when big bird Stormild came but you will get another opportunity to meet her in person

DeAndrea H

It’s always fun to see Villy from a POV other than Jake’s. Jake totally sees him as his goofy, best bud, drinking buddy, god pal. Meanwhile nearly everyone else is trying hard not to shit themselves at the merest whisper of his name.

DDHG

The godly equivalent of dad having a beer with his daughter’s boyfriend. An setting down the rules with the boom stick. I love it.

Corvid

Viper: You are trash that is made out of more trash, then sculpted to look like even worse trash. But you are trash that my bud likes to smash, so I am forced to spray some air freshener and deal with you until such a time when he finally tosses you out or I set you on fire Artemis: Okay damn, that hurt, but fair i guess.

David Hall

Villy is the ultimate junkyard dog. He's scary even when he isn't trying to be and it's only when you accept/are able to handle it that the goofball is able to be seen. Assuming of course he deems you important enough to even try, which I don't think anyone outside of his wife, son, Jake, Snappy, Duskleaf, and Veridia( sorta) ever have...damn villy really needed a friend.

Violet

I love villy so much, if there was merch I would buy it all, tftc!!

Tom C

The is so good. Villy testing Artemis, and happy that she had the strength to push back a bit - this bodes well for the future cos it means she will probably relax more in his presence eventually. “The Malefic One happily went as low as he had to if it meant accomplishing his goals.” Fuck yeah! Poison a galaxy, go full on scorched universe for Jakey 👍👍👍 TFTC!

Yiskah

*Zogarth* Phrasing suggestion: "He was like a wellspring of Records that didn’t have a turnoff faucet." One wouldn't say turnoff faucet in English, even though it's technically correct. Shut-off valve is the term I think you're looking for.

Marcus Evenett

Who are your top five picks to make it to godhood other then Jake? 1. Miranda 2. Sword Saint 3. Vesperia 4. Eron 5. Maria

Bob of Doom

I just thought of something. What if we had a near-primordial level god of oblivion. It could reside in the half of a universe the Viper destroyed. If it does selective destruction then it could control people by removing parts of their identity to match the o-god’s desires. That’s why skills couldn’t be used. The o-god took nearly everything of the other’s paths and that included their skills. All that is left are disposable pawns who are naturally powerful.

Rahsheem Reid

That would be absolutely scary.

ByLordMatsLuck

Yeah and speaking of it would be great to get some more of the vipers backstory. It’s been a while since Jake used his heretic chosen of the MV skill to see into Villys past. I’ve been curious about what went down with his wife and son for so long now.

Alex Salamanca

Sorry if this was explained before and I just don't remember it, but it feels like Oblivion is a new concept introduced a few chapters ago. What exactly makes it different from Desolation? How is it different from Void?

Death56

1everytime you say o God I can't help but read it as orgasm god

Chris

Don’t forget Jake, he will probably make it before Jack honestly :P

brjenness

I think they consensus is desolation bucks all life out of it leaving dust. oblivion erases it leaving no trace of what was there before. with that said, shouldn't they have been able to look at artemis' injuries and gather info on what was used against her or am I thinking of dotf?

CT

I love the fact us readers see Viper as Villy the drinking buddy and an individual. For almost everyone else he is the Malefic Viper. No wonder he doesn't use names of mortals if this is default operation mode : "Without him being in the picture, why would I ever bother helping out someone who struggled to reach Godqueen on her own" . Makes words of the First Sage even more important: "And thank you, Jake, for being his friend. Having something like that for someone like him is more valuable than you can even begin to imagine."

Schneeente

It's so hard to wrap my mind around situations in which you interact with someone who can ruin your entire life on a whim. Having said that, maybe that's how it is to be around Trump ^^ and that's why even his allies constantly praise him and go through great lengths to not say anything bad about him or his ideas....?

Laurent Jerry

In a multiverse where you can get killed by taking a teleport or having a god wiping out a planet for convenience, id say they probably are used to it

Laurent Jerry

Imagine if she had quiped back "Wait are you giving me the bro before hoes talk or the dad talk ?" And for Villy to laugh "ah ! i knew we'd get along"

Dave

I remember when he sold Villy coins back in the day

brjenness

I think some of his pushing was knowing it was the fastest way to get Artemis to relax and be herself.

Rewdan

Thanks Zogarth, I hope you have a great weekend.

Rewdan

Villy has no chill even when he’s playing he’s dangerous

Justin Lucier

"He was like a wellspring of Records that didn’t have a turnoff faucet." Not sure if it's a colloquialisms, but turnoff faucet may be better as 'shut-off valve'

Rewdan

When I read the title I was yes Meira has grown up and left her crush behind her, fully duped.

brjenness

Jake's kids had when he is A,B, S grade will either be gods or dead when the next universe opens.

Arista Gerber

Love you Villy! From a distance, a very, very far distance because you are still terrifying. Thanks for the chapter!

Dani Sarah Sperry

Ah look at Villy being all protective and sweet and scary

Ty Cooper

Oh the benevolence. We dont have a super awkward conversation cliffhanger for the weekend. Tftc

joel southard

Thank you for the chapter

ABTelford

Ha! I liked this chapter quite a bit! Villy looking out for Jake and then at the end Artemis finally getting a single vertebrae of backbone. 😄

Kenneth Welever

Imma call this a Froidian slip here. As, to her, nothing he does seems to be a "turn-off." All Jake is sexy Jake.

Kenneth Welever

That would have been priceless. But I don't think our dear Artimis is at that point yet.

Ben

I knew the talk with Meira would be pushed to next week.

WhiteLeeopard

Yep, as predicted Villy isn't going to make things easy for Artemis. The only surprising thing is that he didn't warn her to hurry up on the Empyrian steps sooner rather than later.

brjenness

the king is in a hurry to get back and expand his empire to other planets in the milky way so he can keep up with Jake and the others. will be interesting to see if he ends up in conflict with the united tribes or if the planets decide to form a council underneath the king so they have more direct backing of Jake as well as the tribes. did the noburu take over any planets that they killed the keadership?

Zach138

This kinda had the vibe of a dad interviewing a boyfriend while cleaning a gun, but with a twist

Dan

Until that last line from Artemis, I was starting to worry she would take forever to talk back. Glad to see she can hit the scariest primordial with some sass lmao

Stephen

She eventually gain resistance to his presence. Just like everyone else who stays around him.

brjenness

Jake gets back to earth and goes to see Miranda. runs into holsted and a level 299 minaga that are working on dungeon emergency shelters. on his way out he runs into the creepy merchant with a level 301 minaga who are working on getting approval for exclusive gated dungeon communities for the wealthy. he then goes to visit Caleb and runs into a level 300 minaga working with the sister in law on childproof dungeons to be used as schools and training for extremely low levels. Jake contacts miranda to ask her to call pest control.

Drew G

I love this side of Villy and wish we saw it more often. As much as nice Villy is fun to read, I wish we could see a bit more of the protective and “last place in terms of morality of all the primordials” a bit more. Itd be nice to be reminded Villy is still one of, if not THE most dangerous person throughout the multiverse. (I know we just had Yip of Yore but id like to see a bit more than that imo).

KenTX325

So no Mira talk and I also wonder if the king is still on the council. He died so maybe he lost his position.

MrEM4N

Villy already knows she's on the fast track to Empyrean just by associating with Jake.

Lemonsqueezy

I expected it. There is still the whole interaction associated with The Order welcoming Jake back. Right now no one except Villas knows that they are already on the Planet, everyone just thinks they are running late. There wasn't a lot of time for citizens of The Order to actually interact with Jake after he was revealed as the Chosen. He stayed secluded and then went to the Pantheon.

Hussein Zenki

the king doesn’t gaf now he is so sassy 😂

Gavin Smith

So……. Does anyone else have a feeling that Artemis is going to die causing Jake to go ballistic?

David Hall

I see it, someone close to him is gonna die and we'll get a repeat of the Tutorials final fight

Oblivion

The raw records from being his child and around him and the people/gods he associates with will probably single handedly drag them all to at least S.

John Durrett

And like a good parent, he's looking forward to sharing and embarrassing Jake in front of his Miss.

John Durrett

tyftc. Given the descriptions of Oras with many eyes, I'm intrigued by how the King perceived Oras with his soul vision.

Travis Lumberry

I'm guessing he feels a lot more comfortable talking back now that Jake doesn't have the kill switch 😆

Naotsugu97

TFTC! Have a good weekend!

Den

Say, what are your intentions with my s-chosen?

Chegs

Artemis went from Empress to baroness in 50 chapters

Toni

I'm glad Villy had the talk with Artemis. I'm still not sure about her so I'm glad someone has Jake's back

Corvid

Yep but in this case the dad is Actually Satan and the shotgun is a chainsaw big enough take out her entire family forest

Brian Schutt

Wonder why he complained about her stuck at godqueen. He is rock hard for the Ladies of the Verdant Lagoon and are much older gods than Artemis and they have been godqueens for like 70+ eras. Seems just as stagnant as her.

Artemis was stuck before she could even become a god queen. It's a big evolution and there's countless gods stuck just before God queen. . With only a handful gods making it to God queen. From what we know, there's no big evolution after God queen, it's just emperian steps (levels) to get more powerful.

Nick

For those saying Artemis is going to die, I disagree (and nor do i want it to happen) but Oras who can see the future has just said that "Death of companion of he who hunts detrimental"

Ty Cooper

I keep wondering what Jake turned/is turning Oras into. I feel he gave him an item close to what he made for Sandy. I feel like once he finishes absorbing the item or decides to absorb it Jake will suddenly get a ton of levels for helping evolve a Void God. A never before feat. Maybe Oras will wait till Jake can handle the influx of crazy coming to him. He did say future action.

brjenness

did yip of yore have any kind of blessing before he became a god?

Ty Cooper

He did then killed the god who blessed him. They were part of the Pantheon he killed right after becoming a god.

Mohammed Sheekh

Not saying you're wrong but that could also mean that it wouldn't work in oras favour if she died or in jakes favour of course. It doesn't mean she won't die

Devillelouch

Jake is a C grade. Unlikely that little amount of Jake Juice does much for Oras. If it did than he could do the same for every Primordial. All his rituals are on creatures at or below his level.

Big brother Villy gotta love it

brjenness

how long before jake uses cloak of shadows to defend against an attack?

Jordan Rogers

Anyone else think the only way Meira could get Jake, would to just casually say thank you Jake, no formalities. Still probably not the best thing for the story though. It would definitely signify a change in Jake that more aligned with the multiverse way of things

Chloe

Sick em Artemis. Woowoo. Tyftc

Abdullah Abdulhameed

The side of Villy we frequently see is when he is joking and shooting the shit with Jake but in Reality Villy is terrifying..

Parker Bond

I hope more of Jake rubs off on Artemis and she stops being so polite and formal around Villy

Parker Bond

Her best and likely only way at this point is through Artemis. Because unless Artemis tells Jake she left a present for Jake's birthday on his bed it's not happening, and even then maybe not.

Chilly Villy

I still say it is weird, albeit in a way that makes the story fun, that Hake's best friend is a Primordial and his 'girlfriend/borderline betrothed' is a Godqueen, and he isn't even B-grade yet.
