A dragon with something akin to El'Hakkan's bloodline but loyal to Jake. That is terrifying on so many levels. I know that is a future Jake thing but I hope we get to see at least something of it before the year is over.

Combining 2 hearts? Why not combine... three hearts? If I remember right, he hasn't used the demon lord heart yet. The one the party received in minagas dungeon. I dont think that he gave it to irina, so it should still chill in his inventory. Just imagin it. The draconian demon Lord of emotions. Name work in progress. Edit: He did not use his demon heart reward in the ritual with the demon prince. The prince had already acquired all the necessary hearts and ressourced bevor approaching jake. Quote from book 12, ch. 60 "...The Demon Prince had purchased ten Crystalized Demon Lord Hearts from other Nevermore Attendees before he even approached Jake in the first place, and while Jake had considered whether adding his own would help, he’d quickly realized it wouldn’t. ..."

That potential dragon heart experiment seems interesting, and Jake doesn't have anyone dragon themed in his collection of animal friends just yet so there's a clear opening for one. A Desolation themed poison of some sort sounds like a good source of a few levels.

Vesperia is without a doubt my fav character so far. I love the idea. I hope we see more of her. I’m imagining her Vespernat forces flooding a planet, shredding every city, then installing other ecto races on the world to begin terraforming before moving along. A wasp hive is not like an ant hill with tunnels and chambers riddled throughout an entire planet. A wasp hive is constructed differently. Unlike most bugs instead of terraforming wasps condense resources and build a single structure. Not a vast network. I’m picturing a Hive Ship. Or a waspy space station. Villy said that the wasps were pure offense. So I would think they could act like pirates. Raiding for resources. A colossal wasp hive that appears in orbit of a world. Or an entire fleet of hive ships each with a dozen queens raining an endless legion of wasps on the world, raiding and harvesting everything of value before moving on with the Vespernat Flagship as its strongest weapon.

It probably won't be a bloodline, but it's entirely possible that the creature gets natural abilities that lean in that direction. Kinda bad, but at least skills can be defended against with stats and other skills.

I had to pause for a second mid chapter.. as I didn't have create a new OP dragon on my bingo card. Evolve someone like the frosty wyvern or Scarlett? Sure. I feel like if jake makes this new dragon it might be the most like an actual child to him as with all the other they were either already alive when helped or with sylphie she already had parents but the dragon would assumably be solely jake (ik Vesperia was just him really but she's a true royal and just became and adult of bat)

From what I remember, a soul flame is just a way better alchemist flame. It doesn’t have a true soul, but like Jake’s bow, it is somewhat alive. Basically it would be a boost to all things alchemist flame related (which is basically all of alchemy). Like a mythical weapon … but for crafting (They talk about it in chapter 68 of book 6)

definitely changes the political landscape if he creates a primeval dragon welp. I would expect him to get super distracted and not get to it until after the system event, or perhaps he'll do it sort've concurrently with the system event to change the dynamic. It's too exciting to have Jake fighting the dragon flights to short circuit the whole thing by him endearing himself to them by jake juicing a dragon egg. Dragons have to remain a viable hunting target cus you know dragons are strong and fun to hunt, so Jake can't just ally himself with all of them.

TFTC :) I was kind of expecting a couple more pov chapters before we got back to Jake in full swing alcheming. Not disappointed though. I did think jake might use that dragon heart to help the chill Wyvern from that mountain nearby rather than make a new dragon like Vespy, I can see issues with a nacent dragon floating about earth with no one to teach it since its not a member of the dragon flights. Cant wait to see where this is going :) Suggested edits: "about it sooner *than* later." should be "or" . You do tend to use the "sooner rather than later" form usually but that denotes a sense of urgency. The "sooner or later" form implies Jake realises that will have to learn about desolation at some point but its not a pressing issue. "would cross that *road* when" small one but its usually "bridge" here.

Yes the Viper was a true dragon but as a god he has seen as a viper The wyrm god on the other hand as far as I could tell is and always has been a dragon he's who started the dragon flights so if Jake makes some kind of OP primordial celestial dragon I definitely see the wyrm God being interested

I'm honestly surprised Jake plans to use El'hakhan's heart to help make a variant creature. Jake gets easily emotionally attached to his creations, so this is like the one way I can see him being reluctant to put down the emotional manipulation bloodline if it arises again. Personally, I think he'd be better off using the dragon heart for something to transmute or a natural treasure for a beast friend and saving the Celestial Child's heart for something later down the line. Anyway, thanks for the chapter!

So we now have two pending Jake-creations. Some kind of Soul Tree (back at the very end of D grade he got that tree core and considered making some new kind of tree) and some strange Celestial Dragon. No real pending chances for dragon eggs I can see in the offing though. The only chance I can think of is if that Wyvern on Earth evolves into a dragon at B grade and that somehow leads to a dragon egg down the road.

Its an elemental of sorts that can be bonded with one's soul, it empowers the alchemist flame skill among other things. One of jakes first lessons in the order described it. This would have been before the nevermore arc but idk exactly where or when.

I know Jake hates working on boring stuff but i thought some of the base alchemy skills were rather low grade and downgrade further when he evolves, he really only seems to keep his poison and malefic skills up to date.
