dont think so, think its supposed to be combat assistants, given that theyre expecting it to be in some way combat related, so they want the eastbound monk to have the best chance at winning, and they're sending Eron in with another team as well to increase their chances of coming out on top.

So curious as to where Zog is going to take us with Venus. Destroy all the undead? Use Origin Energy to teraform the planet? Does Venus play a role in the upcoming event? I can kind of see Jake having a whole poisonous minor world under his banner. What other kind of monsters live there? Lizards? Snakes? Fish? Oh my 🫢😂 oh and does time flow the same? The time flow has been mostly debunked in one of the previous chapters establishing that the minor world existed before integrating. However there is still a possibility for some time flow changes because it wasn’t specified exactly how long ago, in Venusian time, the integration took place.

Alright, so frog alchemy will be a question for later. It does make sense that Venus is a bit too toxic for the ingredients you would need for potions, I wonder if the Order has recipes to work around that or if they'll need imports from outside. The Eastbound Monk at last! I *think* it's new information that he's associated with the Daolords but also not particularly surprising. I like him already, he's not particularly fond of conflict but he agrees that Cheeto needed to die.

I wonder why Vesperia is on this list... Honestly, I've never seen a battle where she participated that she absolutely 'dominated, or was 'crucial' to success, or even played a critical role. Sure there was the 'clean up' after the Prima event/ after Jake killed El'haken. But thats about it... IF this were DBZ during the CELL SAGA, she would be the equivalent of 'Krillin, Yamcha, or Tien. LOL She doesn't even get to be Piccolo. LOLOL

Genuinely excited at the prospect of the dao sects coming into the open more. They don't get a lot of appearances, but every time one shows up from them the character is mysterious and cool. Still waiting for the rainbowfeather sovereign or whatever it was called to appear in monk robes given its incredible insight into karma and the ways of action through inaction though.

Since Jake can use his blood as a catalyst with Maleficent blood, could they use system fuckery and the legacy skills to make poison based potions for their race using their blood.

This could be interesting since we know very little about the Dao Sect as a whole and what their goals are. If I remember correctly this will likely be the first time the Sect has made a move this big in the history of the multiverse. For them to make those moves, from Eron's pov, based on the eastbound monk beating all of those powerhouses then he must have quite the bloodline/transcendence. I do hope we get more chapters including the Monk before he actually starts clashing with them though, his character seems a bit hollow as of now. Hopefully he gets fleshed out in the coming chapters! Great brain food Zog!

I'm hoping we get a rival type character for Jake. Someone like Eastbound Monk seems like a good fit. Almost the opposite in personality. Would be interesting if a long term rivalry would happen. Jake needs opposition that can keep up with him.

Correct me if I’m wrong but Jake is an Uncle right? Like his brother has kids? I’m not sure exactly how long the story has been going but it has to be at least 10 years. Shouldn’t they have gotten their classes? Really want to know if they have some special skill and/or bloodline. Also what’s his brother up to for the system event? I imagine assassins will be a big part of it.

Plot twist… The minor world that Jake just casually stumbled upon is the world treasure that is supposed to be won from the Prima event. the event is over, the winner goes in and there is already the beginning stages of an Order site there and the natives are like: “Are you all from Jake’s world?”

Also, im not sure why, but with the rise of concepts and the idea of enlightenment being brought up so much more, I am betting he has Sacred skills and possibly is also connected to Sunrise/Horizons/chasing the sun or something

Oh my that would be pretty funny. It would also be funny if they are very little affected by the tyranny of grade ranks. Like the they notice it but are not affected by it. Caleb made a mental comment on a memory that their parents n Never seem to be affected by Jake's bloodline but they were also bathed in the bloodline effects from the very start. I can see Jake parents unintentionally embarrassing him on multiple fronts, with Artemis saying something like that they are glad Jake meet a nice girl and Villy not to be a bad influence and lead Jake stray

Random thought but anyone think Villy’s going to eventually get Jake to use Primeval Energy on his dead wife and kid to try to bring them back? Primeval Energy brings something back to its origin, and thinking about when he used it on his Palette skill it got me thinking about this. Probably way too far fetched but it does sound like a Malefic Viper thing to do. It also may end up with the Jake vs Villy fight if it goes wrong/Jake refuses!(Way in the future of course)

[Bad Predictions]. Jake advances multiple levels while in the minor world, he see this as business as usual but everyone on his return for the system event has only gained a couple. He’s excited that this will give him advantage as an administrator but finds diplomacy is the main medium for the competition in this system event. He painstakingly becomes better at politics Then he meets the Eastbound Monk… who shows him how far he has to go. As the Monk displays the most powerful Diplomatic Skill, a forbidden technique that Jake has even used before. The Eastbound Monk responds to Jakes opening argument with an approach even his bloodline doesn’t see coming….. He kicks the Doomfoot in the face.

Lots of potential directions to go with the blank character sheet of Eastie. At first I wasn't interested in seeing a stereotypical selfless monk or the DoTF style of trickster monk weaving webs of karma to ensnare their benefactors. However, there are lots of fun ways for the malefic author to take this. Eastie could join Jake's loose alliance of op elites and be an understated thorn in Jake's side constantly badgering him about his character flaws. He could be a competitor relishing in battle and always seeking to improve himself that gains great respect for Jake and the saint. He could be a complete lunatic playing the role of the selfless monk. We could have a dynamic where Jake takes joy in annoying the monk as they compete. My wildcard guess is the sword saint rises to be Jake's primary competition for the top spot and we get another epic spar. Possibly with a follow up ambush from the other prime candidates seeking to take control of the wonder while jake and ss are recovering from their battle. That would get squished by Goldie and birdie backed up by an army of high level frogs that appear out of nowhere.
