I thought it was made clear they mostly were on this one island on the sea, and had maybe some interaction with the other islands, but definitely not in the entire minor world? Did i miss something? The solution seems quite simple. Explain to them that his best friend, a primordial, has been listening and observing this whole conversation and that He's agreed to destroy everybody in this minor world when the time comes, should anything bad happen to him. Make them aware of the long term ramifications of their decisions.

Why risk making an enemy of a B-grade who is clearly supported by a being far beyond your abilities to handle just because the universe hasn’t yet opened up? Assuming the full integration of the 93rd universe occurs during the lifespan of these A-grades - which is likely - they’ll promptly get removed from existence, if not for whatever the Viper’s plan is behind the scenes

My assumption is that these folks are stuck at A Grade for hundreds of thousands of years and believe they will be easily surpass the barrier if they manage to escape their world. They might also believe they are geniuses and will surpass anything outside easily within the time frame they have before the 93rd opens up. Realistically, acting against Jake is dumb since they’ll just pay the price later when the 93rd universe opens up, but Jake is also an idiot for constantly placing himself at their mercy. Hopefully, if he goes all out with his Jake juice like he did against Valdemar he can beat peak A grades. The First Sage seemed to think something of the sort at least.

I bet they are just going to hold him hostage, there is no benefit in them killing him, but they would benefit from some less filtered information, trying to demand something from The Malefic Viper in exchange for a shortsighted hunter, or using him as a pack mule to get hundreds to the other side of the boundary. i’m also having a bit of trouble following their reasoning. if they know this is a boundary that stops non natives above A grade, and they know Jake has a God sponsor, couldn’t they reason that whenever their strongest forces can enter the universe so could the literal God of the person they’re currently antagonizing. it’s not instant death but it’s definitely a signed death warrant

You know, one would think that the person who comes to a world… alone… through a barier that no one has been able to get through… might not be one to try to threaten… even if they appear lower leveled and weaker than you are. But, oh well… Another thought, this minor world doesn’t have protections… the only sort of protection they had was that no one was aware of its existence… but this fact is no longer true, you would think having an oracle would enlighten people when they are making a huge mistake. Or maybe the oracle knows this and is being quiet on purpose so that the others would be eliminated… 🤔

That's what I'm expecting. The Viper probably gave it a divine blessing and that helped it level up. But I could also see Jake saving the Oracle, the shaman his party members and maybe even the archweaver and Nest mother. As long as none of them betray him if this is just the horn slayer and some of the stronger a grades acting alone. I definitely see this backfiring badly for them

Everyone blames the natives for being foolish when i feel like Jake was the biggest moron there. For the entire interaction hes had with the natives hes relied on the fear of an outside force to keep him save. Except hes isolated without that support and the natives are ignorant of the powers of the multiverse... sure Villy can save him this time but Jake was still a bit of a idiot for going back into that situation when he got out. Without Villy helping as he likely has Jake's probably dead or a prisoner here. Jake forgot the lesson he learned in the tutorial when he was betrayed. Personal power matters more than anything else in the multiverse. I'm looking forward to what Jake learns from this.

Because remember skills that discern truth from lies can't actually verify of what the person is saying is true it just verifies that that's what they truly believe and while we know what Jake is saying is true they don't have to believe that. A few things 1. I definitely think we will see the vipers contingency plan soon and I expect that to be a sea serpent with a really high blessing possibly even an S grade now. But it could also be the lich because she has a skill hiding her true appraisal she could be hiding her blessing. But I definitely hope it's the sea serpent. 2. I don't think this is a unified plan I think this is just some of the stronger a grades present trying to throw their power around because I dont think they believe that Jake can't take out anyone more powerful than him because I don't think they comprehend that he is actually stronger than the shaman and the arachnic Lords 3. I definitely see Jake saving and still working with some of the people present. I think he'll save the shaman and his party maybe the original Oracle he talked to because she seemed conflicted in this chapter maybe even the original mess mother he met and the Arch Weaver But I think that will more depend on how the arachnik from here on out . Hmm. I think we are about to somehow see this Hornslayer put in his place. The rest of the factions have to know that doing harm to Jake is a terrible idea that could spell disaster for their world. That without Jake they will never be able to leave this world, at least not for a very very long time. Villy would be able to sense Jake being harmed, killed, or captured and send someone to just come and destroy the world and its portal to the multiverse. And we know from the last chapter that Villy has done something to protect Jake because of his stupid decision to return. So either the Sea Serpent will make his presence known, or one or several of the powerful A-Grades will do something about it. Either that or the Hornslayer is fucking with Jake and this will go nowhere. However, from my experience, when it comes to beings with the attitude that the Hornslayer has they end up paying for it with their lives. I already know most of us think that the Sea Serpent is coming to save the day with his newly acquired blessing from VIlly. But what other guesses do you guys think could happen?

What is weird is that each of these factions had prophecies of some sort of a being that will help them leave… why in the world they thought capturing, threatening or any sort of force would be the right action against the only way to possibly leave is a face palm moment. I am not sure if the serpent will save the day, but I am curious if Villy can directly influence the outcome of whatever clusterfluck that Jake has gotten himself in to. Like I said, this minor world isn’t considered the 93rd universe, so I don’t think they have nearly the amount of restrictions/protections that Jake’s universe has. What I really want is for the legion god to make an appearance, since he has so many clones that are various power levels.

They are not going to do shit to Jake. They need him in order to escape. They do not know it but Jake has about 2 months before he is teleported out anyway to do the SoTEP event. Villy has already done something anyway to keep Jake protected. I expect something fantastic is going to happen tomorrow that is going to humble this Horned Slayer because I think his actions are of his own and do not reflect those of the others. There is no way any of the factions are going to allow Jake to be taken by the Venusians. The Horned Slayer wants a fight and is trying to do things to get one to happen.

Enough time hasn't passed for the Sea Serpent to evolve to S-Grade. As we have seen reaching the next grade requires a lot of time and effort to achieve. Not saying the Snake wont be powerful, but I doubt he is an S Grade yet. Never really know, Zog has often thrown random left turns into his story. We could all be completely wrong and some other ridiculous thing might happen.

Minaga is restricted to a dungeon (labyrinth). They Horned Slayer has already made the comparison to his world being like a dungeon. So he can probably tell that Minaga is also restricted from travelling around the 93rd Universe. They would also have no way of even detecting Minaga's existence from where they are.

Long-shot possible Villy interventions I didn't see mentioned yet: - Get Sandy to show up carrying a bunch of other B grades. (Perhaps a bunch of Vesperia's subordinates?) Doesn't result in an A-grade smackdown, but could make it clear that Jake is far from unsupported. - Have Sandy or someone else who can travel relatively quickly show with a particularly absurd item. Has relatively nice variants (something the natives would be desperate to trade for more of), more intimidating options. Intimidating options seem especially feasible given that, even if there's nothing real that would do the trick, Villy can whip up something with a fake description so dangerous that the natives wouldn't be willing to take the risk it actually gets used. Particularly eldritch stuff related to a void god could also have quite the impact.

I suppose the could use Jake admit numerous strong B-grades (same strength as Jake but much higher level), and try to take over parts of the 93rd universe, including Earth. But what would that do in the long run? Or the could try some blackmailing scheme. But I suppose that is a moot point when the Great Snake arrives.
