I know you have an interest in Russian literature and I'm wondering - is War and Peace really worth it? I'm interested in Tolstoy but it seems so daunting. Separately, on the topic of books, you mentioned Mann's Death in Venice recently and I just wanted to shout out Luchino Visconti's 1971 film adaptation of it. If you haven't seen it, maybe it could be a good choice for the pod!
