the delivery of the royal kingdom ad has the same cadence as the way patrick bateman talks about business cards, "picked em up from the printers yesterday"

Every time I hear Eric Adams now it sounds like a prognozpogodi69 deepfake to me. Basically indiscernible in form and substance

“Impressionistic pastiche of political viewpoints” is the perfect way to describe that phenomenon. I think the question is whether someone is self aware about that or not.

Recently I was at urgent care and overheard a guy telling the triage nurse he was there because chatgpt told him he was having a stroke

Dangerous listening to that Eric Adams clip while lifting weights, I've heard it a thousand times and I still busted out laughing. Also love that interview where the young interviewer is like "I want to ask a FMK question but that's inappropriate" and this big dumb idiot is BEGGING her to ask it. Rancid politician but I've grown to love him. Adams/Dolezal 2028 To the AI point, yeah most people just accept it. My coworker is going to school and doesn't even read the assignments, she plug it into ChatGPT and sends the answer. She literally could not describe to be the assignment she was doing the other day when I came into work. It's dire. I think the only way people will get activated about it is if you successfully tie the rising energy costs to all the datacenters

Can't believe no one mentioned Cumtown while discussing famously half-assed ad reads

Courtney Cox also makes a considerable amount from Scream.

This is a great current affairs article on the arc of celebs shilling corporate goods: https://www.currentaffairs.org/news/how-we-stopped-caring-about-selling-out

I understand the temptation to use AI to cheat on assignments (but don't condone it!) but I just can't relate on a human level to people who would delegate their personal life choices to a fucking chatbot.

The Naked Cowboy I first knew from a very famous (here) ad for Guinness from the early 00s, where a young Irish man (probably the reason why it's now remembered - cos the young man is none other than Michael Fassbender in an early role) walks from Dublin to the west coast of Ireland, jumps off the Cliffs of Moher, then swims to New York, where he walks through New York, passes the Naked Cowboy and eventually reunites with his estranged brother over a pint. https://youtu.be/mSh1NNp0q5Q
