Yeah, I love that Angel took Angel, Cordelia, and Wesley -- 3 people that Buffy fans generally disliked -- and developed them so well.

I am EATING UP these reactions to the character development! I have said it before and I will say it again, and again. The best part of the Buffyverse, is the inevitable re-watch. Seeing all these characters at the beginning, knowing where they all end up, is so great. Especially Angel, Cordy, and Wes. Their transition from one show to the other is legendary.

All these years and countless re-watches later, I still do not see the romantic or sexual chemistry between Cordelia and Angel; nor understand the people that do. I hate this relationship. It is incredibly contrived. This and Spuffy are the dumbest fucking storylines conceivable.
