Hey Everyone,

Happy Monday! So, this week has been a bit of a rollercoaster. I lost the ability to sleep because of the release of Book 3, and had somehow managed to become completely nocturnal. Getting better now, but it was wild for most of the week. I'm honestly just so delighted with how many people are resonating and enjoying Book 3, so thank you for being a part of that!

We have the next five chapters. I've noticed we got a lot more members in the last week, and it's wonderful, I'm delighted to have you all here. There were a few concerns around the pacing and chapter length, and I totally get that. My hope is that it will all feel more natural when read at once, rather than in increments.

Additionally, since Book 3 wrapped up the first semester, and this is a break point between the semesters, Book 4 will have a slower pace that will be moving towards bigger payoffs in Book 5. You'll understand what I'm talking about a little more when you read these chapters, of what the future might start looking like for Sal and his friends.

As always, I love seeing your comments and feedback. I try to avoid spoilers as much as possible, but if you have an actual question for me in the comments and I don't respond to it, send me a message and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. :)

Hope you all enjoy them!

Brian

hey man

Love you big boy

Thomas Todd

Thanks for the chapters! If Sal gets Quest even scratched by convincing him to go into the portal I say we riot

Alteron

Thanks for the chapters, a bit troubled by the feeling that group is breaking up.

Nate

Upgrade is a menace and I love her even more for it. lol 😂 couldn’t keep a secret to save herself.

Gabriel Albino

Holy Mother of god! I feel like there are so many lines and ways that the story can progress that im kind of overwhelmed. So many powerfull players that we dont know their full potential or intents! Im hoping that the story keeps going after they graduate now, because i really want to see Sal as a full time guildmaster

km272727

I think it would be a waste for Sal to hide away in a workshop like doc ameye when he has a ridiculous power that could turn the tide in the war, I think raven is right but maybe a bit too ambitious at the moment considering sal is only a first year

William Allison

I’m not complaining, but I was hoping to read more about Sal’s mom’s, Arkwright and Fabi’s new ability. I understand the pacing and progressing the storyline, but I want more chapters… I used to hate Mondays but now I can’t wait for the weekend to be over. Thanks for sharing this story with us! … can we bribe you for more chapters???

Abdulmohsen

Wasn't it called Myth Mark previously in Divinity's vision, not Maccles Mark?

michael pigott

I wonder how many "real fighters" like offense or defense are gonna run face first into issues because the slow approach didn't happen. We put a lot of emphasis on Chatfield's program potentially crippling the Upgrades and Jack's who wouldn't have shined without time or the right push but I'm half expecting Bolt or the body manipulator savior who's not Darren to be missing the kind of temperance QA used to emphasize and rush into tragedy because of it

Michelle Ray

Tyftcs! Glad Divinity and Sal cleared the air a bit. I'm looking forward to all the crafting and Dungeons I sense coming up. Also did Sal's visor upgrade? When's he gonna take a look at it? 😄 love Raven he seems cool and I wanna meet his birds. 💜

Nate

Poor Quest, I feel bad for the bugger.

Chris Hoopes

Thank you for the chapters

Naotsugu97

Good chappies as usual! Tbh I don’t usually pay too much attention to pacing in series on RR or Patreon. The flow in book form is what I like. Too often series that flow well in daily format don’t flow well in novel format. Your books are excellent, therefore I don’t worry about individual chapters.

Nate

I’d say Sal sees it and comes up with his own design

Sam

He looked at it in the meeting with Robert

Sam

I'm really starting to dislike Fabi. She just basically blackmailed Sal into going in the portal. Why does everyone feel they have the right to determine Sal's future?

Sam

Which power are you talking about? The one that lets him make great equipment or the one that lets him adjust weaves but might make him go blind?

Rosario Grasso

I'm so happy Divinity's back! I missed her so much in this book!

km272727

considering his mother literally has the same ability and is fine I’m sure he won’t go blind

Rielgesh

Tftc! The possibilities for the story really help the readers to understand what Divinity must be going through with all the possible futures! You leave so many possibilities open that the world feels very organic/alive compared to some others that seem a lot more flat or one dimensional. Love it so far!

Nate

I hope portals, dungeons and towers take Sal away from to much of the crafting and Skill weaves.

Dawn Zeleznik

A lot was unpacked in those 5 chapters. It feels like we are stepping into a slightly darker future. Can’t wait to find out what happens next.

dragon

can't wait for sal to make an actual battle mecha for the portal trip

Sam

Note that his mother is no longer on the front lines and hasn't been for sals entire life

Nate

I love they did that cause they needed too, then add Blathnaid saying why her vision looked like that drive it home for her I think.

Nate

I don’t think it’s using skill master makes him go blind but using a skill from another is what does it.

gideon ferrier

Waw I wonder what kind of equipment quest has.

gideon ferrier

He has not been seen on any field of combat so far so the idea is a bit of a shocker.

Ron Blondeau

In chapter 53 you wrote the following; Sal laughed as he looked over to where Raven was being visibly berated by Upgrade. "He's eclectic for sure, but seems well-intentioned. Do you mean eccentric/ erratic?

LitLeveler

I'm definitely not a fan anymore. Oh, if you only make people stronger and give them gear to save them no one will trust you... I'm fairly certain that isn't how it works. Sakura joined because of the gear. If he dies, no more gear or skills. It feels incredibly forced and especially dumb. Disregarding Upgrade in favor of an emotion manipulating bully. She bullied him into that.

Nate

It’s like she’s up to something, and not in a good way. Or it could be how 2nd years get conditioned to think maybe?

Jason Reynolds

ec·lec·tic - a person who derives ideas, style, or taste from a broad and diverse range of sources.

Nate

It’s getting scary how Barry seems to be the only sane one at this after party. (And Blathnaid, but you know what I mean).

Kenneth Darlin

Ohhhhh, quest is going to be lost?? This is not the way forward Dumbledore

Ron Blondeau

I understand Jason. I did look up the meaning of eclectic. Given Raven's behaviour, I do think eccentric might be the better choice to discribe him.

Nate

Sal really needs to stop trying to cheer up Quest Academy lecturer’s. It’s bad for his health.

Charles Gillentine

Might be reading to deep, but it sounds like divinity was hoping to be included in that marriage. Also glad she finally got called out on treating people like chess pieces instead of people

Michelle Ray

He looked at it but I missed if he inspected it to see how/if it actually evolved?

AJ

If Raven is supposed to be this super likeable guy that everyone likes then I think you missed the mark by a long shot he seems more like a condescending ass to me

Nate

Similar to Erika in a way, wonder if that’s why Divinity loathes her.

Charles Gillentine

Next is upgrade. Literally complained about sal going in a dungeon is too dangerous, but made him clear one by ilhimself, with untested gear, then bailed on him...

Nate

She did say that the one she took him too was a low level one compared to what Ravin would take him too.

Heather Herren

I can actually imagine book 4 ending with them stepping through the portal..:-D

Heather Herren

It’s Fabi Tech. There is a controller version from myth mark. So… he may manufacture it.

Fast Lance

Didn’t seem condescending to me, he seemed like straightforward, genuine and likeable

Kenneth Wence

I really enjoy your books and I hope you continue the story beyond the school. That said, I do gave a mild dislike. I'm not a fan of where you decided to take Sofia. I feel like it's a complete 180 from how we were introduced. Feel like she should have been split between mom/dad/dad, taken longer to get there or come at it from slightly different angle. Still like the story so far. Keep up the good work!

Rod

I concur, I did not like him at all. Showboaty!

AJ

Definitely and the way he looks down on the way upgrade chose to help the war effort

Rod

I feel fab is being a little pushy with sal to get him into a dungeon..maybe my read on it is wrong, I'm not saying he shouldn't get the experience but it should be natural and not forced or coerced (or guilt tripped). besides I like sal the crafter more than anything else.

Sam

He did. The 13 attributes it had combined into 5. It's legendary, no longer evolutionary and no longer connected to the revolver

Sam

But for him to use his skill as a fighter would mean he'd be using skills from others

Sam

If everyone in the guild fights demons, is it really a support guild? Besides Fabi doesn't even act as support for her team, John does

Sam

He comes across as an adrenaline junkie to me.

Wes Brown

This whole segment was super corny and just uncomfortable all around. And literally nothing happened. That should have been condensed down into 1 or 2 chapters not 5 chapters of regret and teen/fucking everyone angst

joey sorrentino

It would make no sense to want him on the front lines. Im. Not saying he shouldnt enter dungeons but they should be already cleared and no surprises. I dont believe his teams wont respect him when hes taking the materials they gather and equipping them to the highest level.

michael pigott

For some reason there's a massive cultural disregard for logistics and wider strategy in the setting. Everything is oddly focused on 4 heros (and also a support) and their individual direct contributions. Like.... sal has revolutionized skill weave understanding, turned that one sniper into a borderline menace, set in motion the resurrection of one of the all time great powerhouses to said power, can make combat style defining treasures in a few minutes for the hell of it and all anyone in this world cares about is that one hulker.

Jeremy

Leading by example is key

Davi(d)

I had to stop mid-batch to say how much I hate Raven's character and this whole "he needs to be on the frontlines, it's a war" discourse. Fuck that. I agree with what someone said here, it seems like the whole world in this book is averse to strategy, tactics, and logical thinking. If Sal is a Mythcrafter AND a Skill Master it does not make sense for him to be forced onto the battlefield unprepared like Chatfield wants to do (also HATE him btw) and Raven is alluding to. He already fucking said no, get over yourself and stop being so inconveniently condescending. At the same time I'm not a fan of Doc Ameye's and Upgrade's over protective stance, or Divinity's chess master tendencies. Leave him be!! Let him make his own choices ffs!

Oliver Dunbar

I'm rather polarised by this set of chapters, to the point where I feel like I actually need to comment for the first time :). I do like the section with Divinity. It feels natural and real based on her past character to be the "protective mother" of the group (even when they don't need or want it) and for her to have the hubris to believe the marketing around how important her ability is and that she "knows best". The doom council was an example of the good it can do (we think at least), but like many things, when there aren't the right checks and balances, relying too much on anything is probably a bad idea. As a section therefore, to see this realisation resonated and worked for me. The dynamic between Raven and Upgrade was interesting, and also felt reasonably realistic (I know brothers and sisters who are like that, so...). I personally find Raven to be annoying - very much a child who hasn't grown up, and is used to getting his own way, but I suspect that is fully intended to be how he is, so it's good characterisation that I find him annoying :) The section I have most issue is the Fabi/Sal/Portal discussions. This seems out of character for both of them honestly. Up to now Fabi has been confidant (especially given her history and how that might have impacted on her personality) but to have her suddenly pushing Sal (in an Erika-esque manner almost) to "be on the front lines" feels more arrogance than confidence. And for Sal, who, while impulsive in many ways, also seems to be cautious when it comes to taking risks, especially when it involves others he cares about, to suddenly cave and go along with the plans of someone he's only known for hours (at least properly known), especially when they are so at odds with his own, seems very out of character as well. Sure there was some attempt at justification, which kind of made sense, but, for me at least, it all happened too quickly even with the justification. Maybe there is more going on than we can see in the text (maybe Erika was involved!?!) and it'll make sense eventually, but right now it just feels off.

Darnell Maxwell

1) Forgot to say this last chapter drop. But I freakin love Doc Ameye. He's like House (from House MD) but a crafter. 2) Raven is insane! And I completely agree with everything he said. 3) Hive Mind. That's how you make Fabi's drone idea work Sal. You simply need a large drone to act as a psuedo ant queen. (When crafting something, always look to nature for examples first. Saves alot of time.) Give it the dungeon fragment and then have it use the processors in the other drones its leading as a boost to it's intelligence. Then if it senses high levels of danger or loses too many drones. Set it to automatically retreat. You could even give it a teleport ability fueled by the ambient essence if you send it into a portal. (An ability you would have scanned by now if you scanned the weave of everyone around you like what every reader keeps telling you to do.) 4) Fabi, Sal is a mythcrafter and can craft, upgrade and perfect skill weaves inside his body and the bodies of others. He could literally skip every class until graduation and just work on weeves in his bedroom. And he would still be the top 1 savior in the school. You're gonna need to find a better carrot. ... Yeah, that's a much better carrot. 5) God, the worst part of Divinity is her power. 6) Ya know Quest, if you still feel guilty. You could always pad Sal and Fabi's q cred budget. Maybe pay Sal more for his skill weave work? Or give him some opt out slips to skip boring classes he doesn't need. Ironically his most useful class at this point is Administration and it's the one he's attended the least. ... SUICIDE VIA PORTAL WAS NOT ONE OF THE OPTIONS!!!!!

Chris Hoopes

So, I don't think I liked these chapters. This post is a rant mostly so I can vent. It's not ment as an attack. If anything I just want to get it off my chest. I thought about it last night and finally decided to just put it out there. I apologize if it sounds mean. I think many things are well written and work. The portal delves are clearly a plan for future content and I'm on board for that. The Fabi and Ravens attitude about it though feels like it could be toned down. Fabi saying she is underwhelmed by Sals plan to use the Arkwright was hard for me to agree with. Building financial reserves while at Quest Academy is a good plan. Im not sure why Arkwright would be involved with his uniform repairs/upgrades. Sal can do that himself. For a person who "hasn't officially said she would join the guild" Fabi is quick to lay claim to how that machine will he used. In fact there's alot that rubbed me the wrong way with these chapters but ultimately her attitude of asking for more and more until finally finding something Sal didn't want to budge on sums it up. He agrees to unlimited dungeons and she fights for portals. He agrees to help with building drones and she wants dungeon core powered ones. Give an inches and she'll take a mile. Divinity takes a serious downgrade this week as well. "Divinity predicted that we get married" "Upgrade guessed your name but I wouldn't worry about it. Plenty of her predictions have been wrong. Calamities and all sorts of stuff." To sum it up Sal has no faith in Divinity's power. It's unreliable, infuriating and annoying to have someone try to predict and guide future events. So lets take our former co captain of their team in book 1 and replace her with the new and improved co captain of their future guild in book 4. "How are you with moving your hips?" If Fabi really does still see Sal as that little boy standing on a stool to greet customers I can see why this sounds like a joke to her. Sal"Honestly I'd rather my future was left to fate rather than predicted." I think Sarah Conner said it best in Terminator 2 "The future is not set. There is no fate but what we make ourselves." What Sal probably meant was "Honestly I'd rather make my own fate rather than have it predicted." Someone should tell Raven that No means No. The dancing scene was handled well. Dr Ameye was on point. I'm glad he was the one that suggested using Arkwright to make battlesuits. If it had been Fabi I might have thrown my phone.

Darnell Maxwell

Sal's biggest weakness is that he can't argue with women. That's legitimately why he caved so easily. Erika can control people's bodies and look through their thoughts. But she can't change the minds or thoughts themselves. If she could then Sal would be more aggressively pushing to fight on the front lines and testing abilities since that is what she wants him to do. Instead to try and convince him she purposely became an enemy in his eyes and antagonized him into improving. Which is why he went from hanging back in their first group test to 1v1ing a hulker in their tower run. If she could truly alter people's desires or thoughts then her dad would have warned Sal or performed regular check ups on her team. As for being so trusting of Fabi, Sal is very open to trusting people. Hell on the First day of school he not only trusted Hannah with the knowledge of his mythcrafter ability. But also made her a pair of gloves that boosted her into becoming a potential Savior. All for free and for a girl he had one conversation with in an elevator. I think it stems from him not having friends growing up so he latches onto anyone remotely decent that gives him a good first impression. In contrast, not only has listening to Fabi helped him immensely with his crafting but everyone has only good thing's to say about her and he's soon a future where they work closely in the future. At this point his subconscious is already prepared to take her word as gospel. So it doesn't surprise me that he's so willing to go with what she suggests.

Nate

I’m loving the Erika theory, it’s very plausible. It would explain a lot of the sudden behaviour changes. She being the queen on the chess board. And just because she hasn’t been mentioned doesn’t mean she isn’t there in a corner.

Nate

I agree with most of what you said except for Sal not having faith in Divinty’s power, it’s more he understands she doesn’t always get the full vision or context and where she lacks is interpretation of the visions.

Nate

Raven gives me golden retriever vibes mixed with a hunger for adventure. I’m not sure how I feel about him yet.

Alteron

I find it strange that Fabi is pushing the portal so hard, she has just gotten a new power that is unknown, and part of a building. Also i understand that Fabi is a good crafter, but how could she manage to craft that much without abilities, she must have access to some amazing machines. If that portal thing has to happen, why not make Divinity say that now that Fabi have that power, the only way for the good future is through the portal.

Immutably Empty

So it's probably been discussed before, but it bugs me how much crap people give crafters. If Raven received plate armor from his crafter, that fuck up isn't all on the crafter. If it was bought off the shelf, generic style, that's on the buyer. If it was a custom order, Raven needs to work with the crafter to define what he wants, limitations, needs, etc. If he goes to a crafter and says "I want armor" and nothing else then he is an idiot for expecting something designed for his specific niche fighting style.

Chris Hoopes

Maybe. He knows thats true and your right about it being a major factor.

Lumpenhans

I really enjoyed the new chapters. Raven is a nice guy who is living the live, very likeable despite his life on the edge attitude. Finally you see an unreasonable and realistic side of Fabi, I liked it. Teen drama by divinity, sal should recommend her the reselanz class. I'm looking forward to the machine and the crafting sessions /dungone runs. The Gala and all the conversations will be a bit tough otherwise. Looking forward to next Monday as always, thanks for all your hard work

Ron Blondeau

Have to agree that Fabi is a little over the top attitude wise. I also get the feeling that while she is in awe, to some extent, of Sal's ability to weave abilities she still sees an age gap with Sal. Also Chris is right to point out that no future is locked in stone. Divinity shoulld know that better than anyone.

Volarus

I love those new chapters, but there are a few things that bug me a little bit. It's about the development of romantic relationships. Quest Academy is, of course, no romance book and the focus should not be on the romantic relationships either. Like as it could be seen in the first book, Hannah practically threw herself on Sam because of those gloves and there wasn't much to say about that non-romantic relationship And although it is (probably) too early for Sal and Fabi to be endgame or anything, but with the whole "future wife"-debate, it would be nice to leave the reader guessing. Does she only see him as that little boy standing on a chair or can she develop romantic feelings for him in the future? Is it because she got her amazing new weave basically solely because of him and she feels indebted to him, or can she maybe really see his brilliance and character-depth? To sum it up, already telling her the "future-wife"-thing wastes a lot of potential for the future IMO and a little bit more flirting wouldn't hurt anybody. But of course everything is the author's choice and I will happily read it however it turns out!

Frilas Gilneas

I really enjoyed the story since the gala started, and the pace of the story for most parts since then, as well as the attempts to make up for some of the major inconsistencies from the past. Sadly, I have to join the negative take on this week's chapters. The personal interactions this time are something that has been missing for a long time, but to put it very simply, there was no Sal in those chapters. For all parts that include Fabi, Sal turns into a yes-man side character, which is incredibly annoying to read. We went from them having a pretty nice synergy to Fabi being in charge in just a couple of chapters. My impression of her went from wanting her to finaly appear, to liking their synergy, and now to not wanting to see her much in the story anymore. Raven and Sal are not compatible, and Sal is not the kind of person who would just listen when someone insults supporters that harshly, especially when it’s someone who can do nothing without supporters. It doesn’t really matter what kind of birds we’re talking about that he has—this shouldn't have been left out, as Raven’s view of supporters, which she very clearly expressed, is exactly what motivated Sal to create his own guild. I first picked up Quest Academy on a recommendation, and I wouldn't have made it through the first chapters if I wasn’t told to keep reading back then. (I think the friend who recommended it has had some regrets after having to listen to my complaints. :) ) The thing that finally got me hooked was Divinity, and I quite frankly hate how she is being turned more and more into Erika 2.0. The only times she gets mentioned are about how she’s trying to manipulate Sal into doing what she wants. Aside from how her personality changes every time she appears, I’m starting to think her ability is being vastly overestimated. She introduced what she could do in Book 1, and it was extremely limited. Then we got to the time Sal used the perfect version of her weave, and since then the story treats it as if that’s her ability. But it’s not—her weave has so many knots in it that she can barely use a fraction of her skill, and the whole tree method is her way of getting the maximum out of that tiny bit she can use. When looking for the upgrade ability in Book 1, she made it clear that she would need them to meet at specific times in the future so she could see it. Now, she’s been trying to manipulate them for months to create a future she saw, when looking for one specific future in 7 days was already that hard? On a side note, Divinity knew that Sal was using perfect weave the whole time. By combining his perfect weave with the crown’s skill buff, she was able to create that detailed view of the future she showed Sal, which she herself couldn’t see in such detail before. For the ending, I don’t have too much to say. In general, I don’t like how *Quest* is starting to embrace Chatfield’s "Let’s send them all to the front lines on day one" mentality, especially when it’s framed as if his plan to teach survival skills for the front is wrong, and instead, sending them unprepared to fight is somehow the better approach. And in general, the way Chatfield gets put in such a positive light by people, while ignoring everything else, feels frustrating. He very clearly told Sal that sacrificing the supporter to save the other team members would have been the right call after Erika controlled Sal for the golem body slam, and he was only mad at Erika because she was ordered to protect him, not because of the general mindset of sacrificing the supporter. P.S.: Small note and probably a coincidence, but I loved to see that the issue with the machine was pretty much exactly what I predicted! :)

Frilas Gilneas

The whole portal thing might just be more about her being labeled as a dungeon junkie, combined with being a third-year top ranker. This makes the whole situation more of a natural next step for her, compared to a first-year like Sal. The crafting part is quite simpl she is a software developer who pays others to create the items. As she mentioned before, she commissioned her gear from an epic crafter. There's also the matter of her essence programming courses, which are manually work only with no essence in the development needed. edit: forgot Being unable to use her weave doesn’t make her unable to use essence itself, seeing how she has her gates opened and all.

BrianJNordon

I've been scratching my head trying to figure out what went wrong with this batch of chapters, and this whole write-up has really helped me understand the issues. Thank you for taking the time to write this out and giving your perspective. I had thought I'd be able to course correct in the next chapters, but it's clear these need a re-write. Sal being a passenger rather than the driving force is one of the key problems that needs to change, and the depiction of Fabi and Divinity isn't fair to their characters. I'll have a think about it and start reworking them, because I believe the story will be better for it. Thanks for this.

Justin Peters

After reading the comments I have a few points I would like to bring up. First Sal's holster was also evolutionary and was in the field of dense essence as well so at some point his clothes probably were damaged as well even if no one has seen the changes since the holster was stealthed. Second I like the angle that Divinity was over invested in the singular future however if anyone should know how fallible her power is it should be her. After all how many times has Sal surprised her with things she didn't see coming like the moonsilver monocle. Third I think that being overly agreeable with Fabi is absolutely something that someone a little dumbstruck by infatuation might do but I feel like that point would absolutely be something that Barry might harp on instead of just agreeing to going to a portal. Not that long ago Barry offered to do dungeons with Sal by Sal was afraid of it still and it's related to affection for Fabi so it's absolutely in line with other teasing Barry has done. And lastly, Sal doesn't feel ready to do a portal himself, his whole agreement was contingent on training and preparation and I feel that wasn't expressed well especially in the conversation with Quest. There is no mention of any work being done to prepare saviors and with the portal being at the start of the semester there's no time for classes or crafting for people who aren't finding out at the after party. Toward the end of the semester would allow students to do master classes and allow months for the 30-40 students being pushed into this to get equipped with gear and skills to handle an unknown world. And keep up the good work. I'm sure all of our comments come from a place of passion because we all enjoy your work enough that we care and want to see and brighter future for your stories

Justin Peters

Sakura and O'Brien's expectations for crafters being defined by Fabi's willingness to tackle dungeons and towers would be a better way to frame their personal expectations in my opinion

LadyLark

My feelings on these Chapters. “ Actions speak louder than words.” 1) Sal: - What is this obsession of older women jerking Sal around on a 🤬 leash. It makes them look like awful people, and it’s so boring. - The wedding teasing has gone too far and I’m not amused by it anymore. - The biggest problem is that you’re trying to make Sal into an OP character and it’s backfiring because you’re having him run before he can walk. -(One option for fight scenes is getting video footage of fights with other characters.) That way you get Sal as a Support who can hold his own and we get to see development of the side characters he supports. Otherwise you’re just proving Sal wrong in the story. When you wrote this. One of the pulls for me is the spin you put on it. Where Sal wanted to prove how much Support matters. But making a Offence OP character doesn’t achieve what he wants. It just proves that the asshole characters in your story were right. That Erika was right. I have my pick of Offence OP character stories. I don’t enjoy reading something that says one thing and chooses to do something else. 2) Fabi: - Her character makes sense, but it also makes her a bitch and someone I want to slap. Sal did so much for her and she treats him like garbage. Why did you make her his vice captain? A partner sure… I guess but his second? Absolutely not. Respect matters and Fabi only respects his capabilities but she absolutely doesn’t respect him as a human being. - You’ve pretty much ruined her character in my eyes. I don’t enjoy her at all and would rather watch her get vaporized at some point. - She also doesn’t seem to respect her elders. It makes sense but it’s not something to be impressed about. 3) Divinity: Having her go on the journey of not becoming Erika 2.0 sounds like a good one. Especially since then it would be Sal saving Divinity. I want Divinity to be Sal’s right hand man. Not Fabi. Side thought: You wrote Sal wanting to prove the worth of the Support class, and I want to actively read that. I want to actively read Sal finding the worst of the hero community and Quest academy students and make them better. I want to read a Weaveless team be picked by Sal and made to be a force to be reckoned with. I want to read Sal make actual diamonds out of side characters and then take on the other guilds. Proving the worth of the Support. The constant battles and creating new inventions should be side stuff. Sal isn’t Doc and isn’t Gallant. He’s Sal. I want Sal. 🧐

David

The portal talk makes no sense. It seems like every book Sal as a conflict with someone regarding being on the frontlines and crafting. He's a crafter, not a frontline fighter. The portal discussion really seemed so out of place... I don't like it at all.

Abhishek

You’ve created a great universe so stick to what you feel best. I’ve wanted Sal to embrace being an active fighter so I’m glad it’s happening. I just hope to not see him flip flop on it too much again.

Roy

You should probably remove these chapters since you revised them.
