Hey Everyone,

First thing I want to ask you is, what do you think of the proposed name of Book 4? Legacy captures the past of Petro and Sophia, while also works as a nod to Sal's Arkwright machine. Legacy of the past, the present and what will become the future. I feel like it works as a good title for the fourth book.

Next, I wanted to highlight that the intention with Sal talking to his parents wasn't to resolve everything in a single chapter. Everything we know about Sal is that he's the type to dwell on things, and it takes him a while to come to terms with his own feelings. His love for his parents is unwavering, but the betrayal is something that he needs to talk about. I wanted to run a few parallels to other areas of the story, but we'll see if the execution pays off.

Thank you to everyone for the comments, messages and words of encouragement. We're coming up to the home stretch of chapters, which you'll probably be able to guess the direction of with these chapters. Let me know what you think of them. I know that there are edits that will need to happen, but if you can point out the inconsistencies, that would be great. :)

Hope you're all having a great Monday! I'm just finishing up Guildificon at the moment. There have been a lot of panels where I've been a Guest and I've two more today where I'm Moderating. Here's a link to one where I'm wearing the new Argento Auction House T-Shirt.

And here's one with Daniel Wisniewski doing a 30 minute takeover. It'll be at 3:15pm EST today if you want to pester him with questions about anything. :)

Perfect timing. More chapters to read for my train ride home

Kanyau

Ooh! TYFTCs

Darnell Maxwell

I just don't want to lose the S theme.

Tom

Ooh, Sal's in trouble! He's doing all this research and viability crafting without letting Fabi know... she's gonna kick his ass

Thomas Todd

Thanks for the chapters! Poor revolver, it didn't deserve to be sacrificed for an edge runner suit

Scott Gable

Damn those were good chapters. They better hash out that workshop soon before Sal is even further over his head with what Arkwright is doing

Kenneth Darlin

I think the name is perfect for it. I can’t remember, but I think the vision of the future is in the last book? If it was in this book that would really cement the name. Might consider having a revisit of a new future state where he sees the Argento campus again

Thomas Todd

It was the last book, it happened after he got out of the workshop just before the announcement of the Saviours

Rielgesh

Good name! Loved the chapters, and can't wait for what comes out of Arkwright!

Gabriel Albino

Amazing chapters! Keep up the good work! I really like that the parents can now reach him something that he is lacking. Training montage with family before the dungeon run would be funny

Kerradeph

I don't think I'd call it sacrifice, I'd say it's more like it got dragged kicking and screaming up to the same level as the tracker.

Dawn Zeleznik

I enjoyed hearing Sal talk through his thoughts/feelings. I also like that Petro heard him when Sal said his upbringing had handicapped him because he was so sheltered. It’s late, we all know that, but he is trying to help instill confidence into Sal now that he didn’t have before. Also seems like a little foreshadowing with the whole “if your equipment fails you can still take care of yourself.”

Nicholas Graves

I hate you.... should have let us see the new euipment and not left us hanging. Not i am going to be on pins and needles until the next set of chapters, not that i always am.

darkmuch

In 59 I thought dominion did NOT have Absolute Counter as he eventually gave up on adding it?

Nate

Hahaha I love petro’s “Ah….they’re the bad guys, by the way” when Sal mentions not knowing who Bastion is lol

Ron Blondeau

I like the title for book #4. Great chapters.

Ramon Brings

To me, the relationship between Sal and Fabi is progressing way to fast. How I understood the last chapters, Sal and Fabi got to know each other like two days ago and now he already confides his family drama and secrets to her. That is such a personal topic and I am not really sure Sal could talk to his best friends about this topic this openly.

Elli

Love the pacing in these chapters! We learn so muchall while the timer on the new jumpsuit is ticking. <3

Elli

Continuity/impact suggestion for Chapter 58: Fabi says: "How can it use essence-programming?" Sal replies: "Are you going to be angry if I say I've no idea?" Sal knows he watched Fabi's videos on essence programming with the visor, and not only is the visor hooked up to the Arkwright, but there's advanced programming after Doc Ameye got Protocol involved to fix it. Fabi herself taught the visor how to program, and Protocol added any missing bits.

Nate

I feel the jump suit is going to turn out way more impressive than what Sal thinks….. you know in true Sal fashion hahaha

BrianJNordon

Just checked Chapter 33 of Book 3, and I think you're correct. Will need to amend that, thank you :)

Timothy Olyphant

Holy shit.....after re-reading chapter 63, you really should give up on the idea to give him the coat. You basically gave him Iron man's tabula rasa with subspace usage + weapons without any limitations to use them freely.

BrianJNordon

Sal could potentially guess, but he wouldn't know for sure or be able to explain it in detail. His personality type is more aligned with a moment of levity and breaking the tension rather than hazarding a guess to look like he knows what's happening.

Dr. Chaos

Legacy is appropriate, but It doesn’t follow your single word starting with “S” naming convention. What about “Silverson”? it’s Sal’s Legacy and he is literally a ‘Son of Silver(son).’ I finally got Sophia’s comment that she wouldn’t have married a man who changed his name to ‘Peter Silver’… Ha!

Ramon Brings

I think before these chapters today there needs to be an inspection by Sal of the upgraded Visor. Shouldn't he be super curious what his now legendary Visor can do? Which abilities did it unlock now that it is legendary? In these chapters it just gets mentioned that his visor is now legendary, but nothing happends with that information. To me, it seems like this developement doesn't get any attention at all. I even thought it did not happen and I just misread it at all.

Timothy Olyphant

Follow up questions. Can he only use the whole set or can he switch a certain part with another suit set piece? When he created the dominion weave, did it have a certain radius to operate and if so can he operate the weapon in subspace without physical contact from within that radius?

Timothy Olyphant

You're mean, now I have to wait a damn week to get an answer, a hulker shall visit you at night and haunt your dreams! ;(

Alteron

Thanks for the chapters, they are good, we are getting a lot of questions answered. The whole worldbuilding is nice.

Robyn Davis

Maybe it could be called "survivor" as the Argento family have survived family expectations and thrived.

Justin Peters

How about succession to keep the s theme?

Justin Peters

Hits some of the same theme as legacy but is more about progression into the future and sal coming into his own power

Darnell Maxwell

1) Sal's parents did nothing wrong! "I had to ask Divinity about the Bastion!" Sal's parents did one thing wrong. 2) The fact that Sal didn't restore the belt before placing it in the Arkwright is gonna bother me. 3) Very curious how in depth Sal went when it comes to his relationship with Hannah as well as what happened with Erika. 4) I'm glad to have confirmation Prestige really does love her kid. Was worried she saw him more like a drill seargant and there prized sodlier.

Yash Parekh

I love everything about the series and even the direction it's going, but I just have one grip. Too little time has passed in world. Like I don't have a problem with the actual pacing of all the books but it's just happens too fast in the world, like everything happens in 1 sem. I just wished you added a few "a fews weeks passed" or "a month after" without changing anything else in the book. The main problem is at this pace he will outgrown the academy way faster than his actual academic term, which will lead to him having to do more and more things outside the academy setting. If that is going to be a case anyway then why not fast forward his academy life so that atleast he finishes the academy by the time it becomes completely useless. He could still use the academy later if wanted by having him form some sort of partnership with the academy.

Yash Parekh

Is anyone with enough skill and the blueprints able to make rare suit with dominion? Because if so then I feel the best use of his time is make super overpowered abilities with skill master even if they are not compatible with anyone and make equipment out of those abilities and release the blueprints.

Heather Herren

Awesome!!! Im excited to see what you will come up with next. What about Sals meeting with Arc? Is that still a things?

Chris Hoopes

The name works really well. On so many levels to.

Richard Barnett

Perhaps that’s a good point, but there is also the proven existence of what is called a “tipping point “. Everything that is currently happening in the Quest universe has been building to these inevitable moments when things seem to happen suddenly and dramatically. Almost every large scale event in real world history follows a similar pattern, so maybe the accelerated pacing has some precedent other than the just to keep the pacing of the story. Your thoughts?

Richard Barnett

Each previous title has been directly tied to the evolution of the characters and the label they wore while achieving it: Silvers, Scavengers, Saviors… The new title seem like it might be drifting away from that naming convention. Just a thought.

Naotsugu97

Legacy works well. Enjoyed the chapters. Cheers!

Josen Pottackal

These chapters make me agree with Erica, sal needs to stop acting like a whiny bitch. You're fighting an existential war against demons, are you really complaining about learning martial arts? Like dude you were mad at your parents for making you soft, sheltered and unprepared for the reality of the world, then 5 minutes later you're actively choosing to be soft, sheltered and unprepared. The guy has zero ability to handle mental adversity as everything comes easy to him. Its like divinity was saying, if she over relies on her powers it makes everything come easy to her, so she never learns to handle adversity. Its the same for Sal, he never learns the fundamentals of crafting like fabi because he has a power that will magically do it for him, he has perfect - so he doesn't have to struggle with opening gates or learning skills. And now he has a machine which means that he doesn't even have to create blueprints or craft for anything anymore. Sure it makes him strong in the short term, but he never grows as a result. I really liked the pre revised chapters talking about how Sal is never going to be respected as a guild master if he never puts himself at risk and leads from the back.

Richard Barnett

Just gotta say, that was a particularly cruel place to stop.

Kenneth Darlin

Sweet!! This suit will be amazing!

Kanyau

Homeboy was intentionally sheltered, is what 18yrs old, and hasn't even spent a full season with the knowledge of the scale of the war, the politics of the reclaimed lands, or of his own powers - through no fault of his own. Now that he does know, he's had his life basically dictated, and entirely out of his control for most of that time. This, only to find out that they're intentionally putting not just the least trained fighters, but also the 'behind the scenes' personell into what most reasonable people consider incredible danger... against their will. I guess banter with his father (the one who lied to him and intentionally made him feel impotent his entire life) could be considered whining, but I think it would also be fair to cut the dude some slack.

Josen Pottackal

He's been constantly given slack for the last 3 books, Erica is the only person who held him accountable. Sure her methods were dumb, but her point stands. He's seen what happens with the calamities and psionic commander since book one, he's seen the bastion plots, and he's been into a tower. At what point is he going to put on his big-boy pants? How is he supposed to be a guild leader if he still acts so passively every chance he gets? The amount of hand-holding and reassurance he still needs for everything is annoying.

Dale Medford

Not sure but did Sal not change his father's eye color when he fixed his weave? Chapter 60 has the line "His silver eyes were locked". Could have sworn that they changed to another color.

Lacan

I really like the fleshing out of the world, and that some of Sal's ignorance of basic facts about his world is being addressed! Also, Petro pushing him for basic physical conditioning/martial arts using Perfect is very welcome. Sal has an ever-growing powerful toolkit, but is (naturally) winging his way through a lot, so Petro doing a bit of optimization makes my DnD min-maxer heart glad! That said, there's a couple things in Ch. 62's worldbuilding that don't quite click for me. His parents hiding their past makes sense, and the account of Robert's shakeup of the guild system helps explain a lot. But would Sal really not know that the Hunter's Bureau was only 20 years old? This seems like an easy fix narratively (Petro: "As you know...." and Sal's not surprised about it) so that the information gets presented for the reader. But that leads me to the other thing that emerges from this and has actually been tickling the back of my brain for much of this book, namely the revelation that he and Fabi literally grew up within walking distance of each other, but Sal didn't know her or remember her. How exactly does schooling work here? Are all children homeschooled (via tablet), or did Sal's parents limit his socio-educational circle as part of 'protecting' him? Did he just never leave their house/the Auction House? His line about having to ask Divinity about Bastion is really telling in this regard, because it's more than just relieving a child of the burden of parental past; it reads closer to something like manipulation and fostered dependency, especially given Petro's comment about hoping he'd drop out and come back to the auction. I remember what I was like at 18; if I were Sal, I'd be a lot moodier and angrier, even after the explanation.

Justin Peters

In book 1 Sal mentions giving up on making friends pretty quickly and just starting with his parents because any time he showed his ability people got jealous and any time he hid it people pitied him. On the other hand it does bring up the issue of schooling. In a community of a few hundred that it seems Silver Sactuary is, there's usually a crossover between ages learning in the same classroom if they are all not schooled from home

Dungeonborn

Well I’m gonna say you should try having your complete understanding of the world you’ve had for the last 20 years thrown into the trash and then in a time of 6 months you have to be even halfway adjusted… In my opinion that’s pretty much impossible.

dark phoenix99

Erica sucks. She's a total sociopath. She didn't hold him accountable, she mind controlled him, nearly killed him, and still thinks she's right. She might literally be the worst person in the books.

dark phoenix99

Eh. I've been with my wife since high school. I met her for five minutes and it was like I had known her forever. Instantly comfortable with her. Sometimes people click.

Timothy Olyphant

It's Part of the Set, so he needs to produce it with the arkwright. After that He just stores it in the subspace and can summon it with no cost, because Dominion negates the cost. Does that makes Sense to you? The subspace ist basically a amory.

J S

Confusing! But hopefully the suit will be done soon.

Benjamin Hartmann

Legacy is quite fitting also with the shadow of the silverson part of his family looming in the future

Dawn Zeleznik

Legacy is fine, if you’re not staying with S, then Heritage? Covers the same as Legacy. Birthright is another but maybe too on the nose.

Lisa Johnson

I like Legacy but I also like Legacy’s since there is so much being uncovered and so much being developed.

BaguaBrady

I want to apologize I my comment on the last chapter was too strong regarding the initial conversation with his parents. This follow up with his father felt much more reasonable and conciliatory. It still puts a bad taste in my mouth that they were so jokey and light hearted with the initial apology, but if I see it from the frame of two traumatized parents who bungled their communication and had terrible parental role models of their own, it makes a bit more sense and I can find empathy for them.

Deko

I think Legacy works on a number of things and it will be a great title regardless. As some others have said, deviating from the 'S' theme causes the little OCD in me to eye twitch. That said. The word Supplanter came to mind, not that it is used much, but there were three major reveals in this book so far. -Sal's parents past and their wishes for him. -The Hunter Bureau Galla and plan for the Fabi reveal. -And the generation of the Arkwright. In each of them, Sal replaced and fought against the plans that they had for him in each case to provide his own decisions to move forward. It's something that I'm actually happy to see in Sal as he starts to get a bit of a backbone and step out with his own choices instead of just trying to appease. The Arkwright plays on a little bit of a different meaning as the machine has the capacity to replace the currently accepted metric for how things are created/crafted. That said, Legacy works and I see what you're referring to, so no worries. I also tossed around other S words like Schema and Semantics, but they didn't feel like they fit with your other 3 titles so far. Moving away from the 'S' theme, Rebellion and Revelations were others. That said it's always been your story, so if Legacy fits better for you, I'll cheer that too.

Ben Enz

I like Lisa's mention to make Legacy plural, I feel there are many books with legacy as there title, Legacies is more original and sounds more intriguing, also when people think legacy I think they tend to think of a dead persons legacy, whereas with legacies the word feels more encompassing, like Sal's legacy and that of his parents. I feel like legacies fits better, also Dawn Zeleznik mentioned Heritage which I think also has a good ring to it.

Volarus

These chapters were soooo goood! Honsetly, great work!

Pickled Rick

Will be so happy once Sal enters into a dungeon soon and we can see some action. If I had one constructive criticism of Book 4 it would be that it heavily favours crafting so far but without a concrete focus or direction. In previous Books Sal had a very clear problem (Cohort Battles, Field Trip and Fake tower) and he uses both of his skills to grow as a person to overcome them. In this one Skill Master has mostly taken a back seat outside of reunlocking Petro's skill and refixing Fabi's weave at the Gala. For Mythcrafter his construction of Arkwright is currently making Mythcrafter unnecessary. As the reader I can see where his current efforts might be utilised in future Books for world building but as a Book I can't see how we are building up Sal other than introducing his potential love interest. After 63 chapters I feel I should have some inkling of what character defining challenge Sal needs to overcome to grow by the Books conclusion. Right now my best guess is Shade and his guild trying to kill Sal in a dungeon and/or causing some petty problems for the Auction House if or when Sal finally moves to his trainee Guild location.

Kanyau

It's 3 books to us, but not even a semester to him. He's a barely adult who thought he was going to be an auctioneer who's instead been essentially drafted into a war he barely knew existed all while being continually failed/manipulated/lied to by his entire family, some of his allies, and most of the authority figures in his life while terrified (rightly) he'll be seized as a strategic asset. If he was in the military, he'd be given mandatory leave, a therapist, and need a full psych clearance to even be allowed back in action again. Instead they had him visit 'a guy whose good with this stuff' what once, twice? all while sending him back into the frey. Has he not earned at least the semblance of an adjustment period? Even if the plot conspires to keep it from him.

Kerradeph

It sounded like the belt was cooked and wasn't worth the time and effort to actually fix so he was just tossing it in for what he thought was materials. Maybe Arkwright will upgrade the design now that it has it and use the invisibility to allow invisible holstered gear and notably an invisible location to hold the tracker. I'm re-reading book 3 and the scene with Prestige hearing about the perfect weave does put her in a light of being a mother trying to help her son rather than just treating him as an asset. I think she might be more harsh in direct interactions with Gallant, but behind his back she's more willing to show a softer side.

Kerradeph

There have been a few time jumps. Large chunks of semester 1 were handwaved with intense focus mostly on the beginning and end of the semester. I think about 2 weeks were handwaved of Sal's time off where he was just studying and messing around with crafting. We've also seen hints towards a ton of things Sal will be able to dive deeper into as he gets more experience. Like seeing the chasm of skill between Sal and Doc shows a lot of progression he can still make. The essence programming stuff that we saw in the latest chapters shows an immense depth that Sal wasn't even aware was a possibility. More work on weaves now that he knows that the cap goes to at least 50 rather than 25-30. Getting more skilled with combat in its various forms. Working on his guild, more interpersonal stuff like we've been seeing through book 3.

Kerradeph

I think the extremely big part here is "with enough skill". It sounds like the skill needed to make that kind of stuff is the major tipping point and where Arkwright is allowing Sal to cheat his way through it. Just getting the skill to apply to the gear may be easy, it's getting the essence signatures to draw on that would likely be a blocker for the vast majority of people.

Kerradeph

"I really liked the pre revised chapters talking about how Sal is never going to be respected as a guild master if he never puts himself at risk and leads from the back." I do agree with this, but Divinity explained several futures where Sal tries to follow Erica's advice and just turn into the hero of all heroes with a library of skills and ends up either dead or blind from putting too much strain on his body from all the different skills. Albeit with all the new gates that may be less of a risk but we see the same thing with Sal's mum where she's effectively crippled from doing exactly what a few people have said he should do.

Kerradeph

Not knowing about Bastion isn't too surprising, apparently all the media available in sanctuaries through legitimate means is heavily controlled. I think it's book 2 or 3 when Sal's asked to make a radio and has no idea about that or the amount of people living outside of the sanctuaries. Not completely convinced, but I didn't know much about politics until I was in my mid teens. Sal might know the events but not the timeline meaning he might have known about the coup but thought it was much older than it was. Similar to people being surprised when they hear that something we consider atrocious today was only banned 20 years ago or something, they knew it had been banned but not so recently. Formation of a new system of governance does seem like something you'd be a bit more aware of the timeline though.

Kerradeph

I think book 4 is more focused on fleshing out the overall world and more of the societal aspects as Sal will be stepping into that with the creation of the guild so having more of this background detail beforehand makes it easier to reference. Not sure how long the book will end up being, but I think it will either go up to Sal heading back for semester 2 or will go up to some major aspect for the leadup to the portal. I'm guessing book 5 will be focused heavily on the portal trip.

Heather Herren

You are right. If he had restored the belt it would have restored the cores… so not Sal.

Heather Herren

Legacy is not bad for a title. But If you try to stick with a words.. maybe synergy or a derivative..

Pickled Rick

I think personally that's the weakness of how the Arkwright has been introduced. When he has been outside the workshop he has had some great world and plot building with the revenge on Shade, the Gala and learning about Silverson Group. Everytime he is back in the workshop though everything sort of stops for a plot device that will not pay off until later books. Right now Book 4 looks like it will be around 100-110 chapters but if it ends with him just going back to Quest Academy I think it would cheapen this book. Climax needs to include Shade in some way right now and possibly something going really wrong for Sal like getting dropped in a nearby Portal and left for dead, which with Shade's invisibility it would be a good nod to Divinity's vision of Sal walking into a portal and never coming out. I'm good with a cliff in Book 4 and it would setup some real growth in terms of Sal not always getting to be 100% prepared before the encounter and having to shift his priorities.

Sean Shivers

In 59 fabi goes from questioining why he wasnt more angry... to reassuring him that he shouldnt be angry and it feels a little off. Like she's trying to fix problems instead of listen as he thinks through them... but her idea of "fixed" isnt consistent. Like, shes reassuring him that he turned out ok... but thats not what he expressed insecurity over.

Grakyn

I feel like Sal was lost and wondering for a while and he continues to build himself into who he wants to be and become more and more. Really like the developments with both Fabi and his parents. I feel like his relationship with Divinity still needs some work though. Maybe somewhere in the future there is room for Fabi to help fit the jagged puzzles pieces of Sal and Divinity together in a way that makes sense? Build up her relationship with Sal and Sal’s relationship with Divinity at the same time?

Michael Barnhart

How about “Argento” for the book name. Ties together the name change of the past and what it means to be a descendant of Petro and Sophia

Cinque Culver

Keeping to the single word/plural theme I want to suggest Legacies, Discoveries, or Revelations (personal favorite) for the book title. Also, I like the direction of Sal’s summer so far and seeing him exploring the new capabilities of Arkwright, but I would really like to see him do another personal inventory chapter. Things are moving so fast around him and he could multitask while hanging out with Arkwright, Fabi, Petro and address the things that he couldn’t do while crafting was taking more of his personal time. Like I’m itching for him to say: “Grant would you mind sharing your skill weave with me, my tracker picked it up at the gala but I wanted to ask before I just used it.” Or “Andrew I wanted to check in on you, did you know the the hunter that presented on Demon Languages at the Hunters’s Ball has eyes on your work with deconstructing runes? Let’s catch up.” “Mom, I want to share the Perfect Weave with you.” “Mom, I’ve synced your tracker to Arkwright and would like to get your thoughts on these weaves that Skill Master/Scarlet Tracker have stored so I’ll be more prepared to use my innate skill.” “Hey Alex, I hope your summer is going well. Fabi and I are starting a training guild and I would like you to join. Also, as a bribe, I think we can automate elixir production and give you a royalty deal. Let me know what you think.”

Nate

why does this week seem to be taking forever to get back to Monday for the new chapters. i need my weekly fix :-)

Sherry Walles

It's Monday in Australia, where's the new chapters? Just kidding, sorta, a little bit. Hey! Who unchained the author?

Eldest Martial Sister

Scion as the title could keep to the theme of S words while tying into what Sal’s learning about what he inherited from his parents

Chris Collins II

Legacy sounds fine but it does diverge from your alliterative S pattern. Such a change wouldn't make me drop the series, but I would be mildly dissatisfied.

Jacob Meyers

Okay I do love the different conversations and things like that but I don't think there's been enough development between the relationship of Sal and Fabi for that conversation. Sal tends to have a natural distrust or caution around people something that's been drilled into him is the entire life. But he's known this girl for less than a day and he's opening up about secrets in his family? This doesn't really play. I mean they're good conversations but I think it needs to be with somebody that he trusts a little bit more. I've made my preferences for Divinity known and I would like to see that conversation happened with her but you could substitute in Barry or even Blauthned. Please excuse my spelling I'm dyslexic and it's kind of hard with some of these names. I get why you set it up in the workshop I get why you did it with the input of the plans but ever since you introduced Sal he's been cautious around people he's worried about them attacking him or coming at him in an emotional or I don't know blackmail kind of sense. If you really wanted to put it in there as it is you could include upgrade into the conversation and have Fabi for some reason be called away while they're talking. It just seems like you've completely overridden Sal's personality since he got the perfect ability to be more bold but at the same time you haven't mentioned that he has reactivated the ability. I've been kind of watching for that because of my last comment about how it sounded like it would have already been imprinted in him. I'm also curious about what effects having so many gates open would have on his body. It sounds like he's got a lot more power in him so he should naturally have some of of the capabilities of people with more gates like Galant. I think there needs to be a bit of a transitional period where he's almost breaking things without the perfect ability active. The whole gate stuff sounds a lot like cultivation fantasy which I assume it is but even in those stories it always takes the protagonist time to adjust to new powers. You might even want to go back a few chapters and add that to the section just when he's come out of the hole implant situation. Maybe have Prestige remind him to reactivate perfect so we can get himself under control before they drop the force field. Really a lot of the things I'm suggesting now are small but could have major impacts on your overall emotional weight and character consistency. While he has the perfect ability and it's not inconceivable that he might act more boldly but it wouldn't override the natural caution of a person from its description. It was helpful to learn to be more bold and to be more capable but it never says anything about overcoming emotional blocks. So I'm a little curious about why his personality has changed so much in this story as opposed to the previous books. I really hope this doesn't result and you thinking I'm not enjoying what I'm reading because it is very well written. It just seems inconsistent with the previous books and their build up.

Ty

What if it was named Quest Academy Sanctuary? I saw Chris's post about keeping the S pattern. I was thinking were the novel was taking place and when I think of that word I think of home. Sal lives and grew up in Silver Sanctuary and it helped shape who he is. It's the place his parents went to escape the war\family.
