Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to give the update that I'm back from DragonCon and I of course got sick in the process. Thankfully, it's not Covid but there were a few that picked it up. I'm loaded up on lozenges and Lemsip (Which I believe is called Theraflu for those of you stateside, and NeoCitran for our Canadian friends) and I'm hopeful the drowsiness and jetlag will feck off in the coming days. I guess a silver lining is that I don't use dictation for the writing, because my throat would be having zero of that.

I read through each and every comment, all 400+ of them. I was amazed to see so many names that look like they've commented for the first time, and it was great to get input from some of the silent majority that are here for the chapters rather than discussion. I tend to overthink things, and it was brilliant for me to see all the support.

I think the poll questions were likely too limiting, and I only tried to get answers for how to proceed. I didn't intend on there being a right or wrong answer, and thankfully the commentary was able to highlight the concerns of people in a clear and helpful manner. Wanting a Scavenger Run with Jackal doesn't mean that you hate the Skill Paragon progression, nor does wanting Sal to finish commissions mean that you hate the workbench. The poll didn't make those things clear as I limited it to a single option, so apologies for that.

To the negative comments, and by negative, I mean the ones that go out of their way to insult me as a person, and my writing process. I'm happy to part ways at this point. Raise your hand if you want a refund, and I'll send it over and remove your access from the server. I want to be very clear, this isn't me saying that those with a dissenting voice should pack up and leave... but rather, I'm highlighting to the people that think it's okay to shame me for being transparent with my earnings, or being open about my mental health is a weakness. The ones that think I'm legally obliged to give them a set number of chapters on a weekly basis, and tantrum when they don't get it. I try to be calm and civil in all of my dealings, but that level of audacity and entitlement can fuck right off. I tend to be a people-pleaser by nature, but even I have limits.

Anyways, on the topic of moving forward. I will be getting back into the swing of things in the coming days. I'm hopeful to have more chapters for you before Monday, and will keep the Monday schedule going forward. I'm sorry that the last few weeks haven't been smooth, but that's just how life goes. To be clear, there will be a chapter upload before Monday, and a chapter upload on Monday. Amounts are completely up in the air as I haven't started them yet.

My next big event will be Seth and Mica's wedding in Iowa this October, so I'm hopeful to make a lot of ground this September.

I think that's the most of it. Thank you all for your patience with me. I noticed that some people wanted to check out the Discord as I gave a few updates there when I made it to DragonCon and updated when I felt sick. I don't like bothering the 3,500 people here with tiny non-updates that aren't chapter related, but if there's a demand for more communication, I'm happy to oblige going forward.

How do you link discord through Patreon?

Aaron

I had to do it through the Patreon website (not the app). Go to your settings and under more settings there was a tab labeled either apps or connections. In that tab you could link your discord
