A loud voice came over a microphone from the people that surrounded them, a man who said "Surrender now, you got no where to run. You got 30 seconds before I throw THIS grenade into your little "trench" " he said mockingly.
Katya again considered fighting her way out but all roads except surrendering will lead to Lara being killed. They are going to hurt them for sure but atleast they will be alive, Lara will be alive. Lara tried to say something but Katya shut her up by kissing her and hugged her saying "everything is going to be fine", took a lot for her to say a very obvious lie but she couldnt think of anything else to say, she was out of options. Lara nodded in return, understanding why she made the decision.
Katya lifted Lara up like before by her arm and raised one of her hands in the air as they slowly emerge from the trench. Numerous guns were instantly trained on them. As they slowly approach the squad of solider, the guy with the microphone said "woah woah, You are good right there, now hands on your head, the one with the busted leg also". Katya didn't want to show weakness but she couldn't help but plead "Please, she needs medical attention". No answer was heard from the squad except a few laughter, how dare people who would kill them now ask for help. The guy with the microphone spoke up "Don't make me count to 3, now hands on your head and not a movement".
Katya looked in Lara eyes and hoped she had enough strength to stand on her own as she slowly lifted Lara' arm off her body while still holding her body so she wouldn't fall and helped her with lifting her hands on her head. After she is stable, Katya put her hands on her head hoping they will soon give Lara medical attention. About 8 men approach them, reaching for something into their pockets while the rest have their guns trained on them.
