Very difficult to respond to any of the ideas without spoilers, but the only thing I wanted to add (that Badeni's "chi" at the very end and his last word from beyond the grave to Grabowski is "wisdom/knowledge," not "truth") seems really petty in contrast to a very touching and heavy episode. I hope you're enjoying your time states-side.

Badeni's plan also took me out a bit too, it just felt a little too dramatic and frankly unrealistic. The only explanation I have is that 1. He said he wasn't counting on this plan and 2. This showcases more of his reforms towards his own beliefs on the commoners than anything. Still, really liked this episode. The burning of the faithful monk hurts (we didn't even get to know his name!). And the flashback with Novak and Jolenta is just perfect. It really brings the characters to life while showcasing one of the MANY difficulties in the grand task of parenting haha Antoni is a POS though, we all hate him frfr
