Watching your reaction I realized how maomaos view of jinshi could definitely change if she found out he was the crown prince. She just thinks he’s some undercover official right now, not 2nd to the emperor. 😭

I'm not sure how presenting those arrows made the assasin run into the forest and dig the gun out of his stash. I understand they found the stash thanks to the dog, and suspected the guy also because the dog barked, but what's with the arrows hm

Damn, I feel so bad for baby Maomao just crying until she learned not to :( I also feel bad for Jinshi because Maomao is actively deluding herself to not understand him further, even though I know she isn't doing it without good reason, or at least understandable reason.

Not exactly sure but I think they instilled the fear in him that they were gonna comb the Forrest looking for clues, so his paranoia led to him rushing there to move the stash

It's truly not Apothecary Diaries without an assassination attempt on a character during an arc! Whether through poison, elaborate setups, or just GUN. The thing I like about the shift in the power dynamic between Maomao and Jinshi is that it doesn't feel like one objectively is holding all the power or control and it changes from time to time depending on what's going on.
