Q&A Q&A Q&A

Feel free to ask 😂 I was thinking I might make more sense after season 3 since I heard it was this year

Jujutsu Kaisen season 3 is out, then in the upcoming few weeks also Vigilantes dub and Frieren season 2. On top of that I'm going to start posting Takopi tomorrow, which is only 6 episodes so I have to decide on something to follow shortly after

9 kin extermination was the punishment for treason in Imperial China. Mostly coming from their Confusion Philosophy where Family as a single unit.

9! I just looked it up and it's the generations, 4 paternal and 3 maternal + others? And sometimes a 10th for students / peers 😐

I'm show only, but I'm pretty sure that the last thing either Jinshi or Maomao want is the responsibility and evident ruthlessness inherent in taking on emperor/empress titles, that seems punishing for them rather than a fulfilling higher calling. The main motivation Jinshi had for being in the rear palace is to ensure there are as many heirs ahead of him in line as he could, right? Jinshi's clumsiness is also more forgivable since it was revealed he is still a teenager not a 25 year old. Despite Maomao giving the vibe that she would be perfectly at ease in her shell of indifference for the rest of her life, it comes off to me more like her own clumsiness grappling with intimacy, maybe somewhat influenced by Luomen raising her. She's used to being clinically detached from such things, but she's a teenager as well and not a "eunuch". I think Shisui volunteered her name and where she was going to the merchant unprompted just in case the pin ever makes it back to Maomao and she decides to follow the chain of acquisition, leaving the possibility open for them to reunite. Also I couldn't tell if you noticed or not, but the pin had blocked the bullet. Looking forward to season 3.

That's a very interesting point. I agree in full with it being the last thing they want, BUT I think there are a few questions there like: - WHY do they not want it - is it actually a really bad fit, or are they afraid of what it would mean to want it? Jinshi is less clear to me but taking Maomao, despite all her talk about "let's play it safe," she actually can't stop herself from getting involved in matters that affect her conscience. It's often said that not wanting a position of power is, paradoxically, a great attribute for a leader. Maomao can't stop rising, despite her expressed desire to not rise. There's something very Last Airbender about it. You ran because you were afraid, not because you weren't made for it. With Jinshi, it's almost too perfect that he has this stain of the previous emperor and looks just like him, and how terrible that looks at first. It almost commands that he reclaim that as his destiny. Also I didn't notice the bullet! So Maomao saved her
