The Zen'in Clan doesn't excuse Naoya's sexism. They were the ones who taught him to be that way and think the same way he does, and that is why Maki left. So I think the whole clan has it coming for them.

You might remember but Naoya zenins dad who died this episode was the old man last season named Naobito who fought with maki Megumi and Nanami vs Dagon, he had the cool 24 frame technique, where if you didn’t determine your next move you’d get caught in a still animation cell
