Huh did Harry actually kill the Basilisk or was it staged? I mean he did stab it unless he comanded it to play dead and the sword wasn't real. It seems to be a set up from the dialogue but I'm not sure. I do hope the snake is okay though. Great chapter overall

He was imitating Tom Riddle when he was ordering Basilisk to attack Great Hall. Not really staged, but he did create the situation where it would attack and he could play the hero. Basilisk is dead.

Why did you kill the basilisk? Please rewrite the battle so that Harry only subdues them instead. Harry made them part of his scheme with deadly consequences.

Feel like that was a wasted opportunity there. He could have let Dumbledore die. Then dealt with the Basilisk. Would have solved multiple problems all at once for him and promoted his fame even more.
