what are your thoughts on the scene between simon and wille where wille is trying to pick a theme for the foundation? when i first watched it i was like ? wtf wille? but the more i think ab it i understand him even tho he didnt phrase it in the best way (which i think he also realized bc later in the ep he says he feels rlly clumsy sometimes). i saw some tweets about it that were basically saying that he probably feels a disconnect from the community, and how he doesnt want to constantly be a prop or a symbol for something. all he wants to be is wille, a teenage boy in love without it being a big deal. he doesnt want the position hes in and he never has, it all clearly makes him very anxious. it was very priviliged tho but i think its difficult for him to see that with all the responsibilites weighing him down and how miserable hes feeling. i also think its hard for simon to understand that its not as simple as he thinks, wille cant just say whatever he wants bc hes not allowed to be political.
