Where do you think Lestat and Louis’s relationship goes now that the abuse has escalated to serious physical violence? As for Lestat’s relationship with Claudia, even though he wasn’t her favourite, they still had a fairly close relationship in the previous episode. Do you think Lestat could ever forgive Claudia for “taking” Louis from him, and could Claudia ever forgive Lestat for hurting Louis?

Lestat is under the impression Louis doesn't love him - partially owing to the fact that Louis hasn't said it in their 30-year relationship. (In fact, Sam - who plays Lestat - said that part of the reason Lestat laughed during the 'open relationship' convo was because he was happy it was the first time Louis came close to admitting he cared as much as Lestat did). Why do you think Louis has avoided telling Lestat that - self-protection, shame, a way of exerting his own control over the relationship...? Alternatively, what do you think would have happened if Louis at any point - including the end - said he *didn't* love Lestat? Would the consequences have been more or less severe?

Obviously a heavy episode, but I assume you're gonna talk about that, so I'm gonna bring up something kind of random. There's way too many details to point out with this show, but if you go to 4:24, when Louis and Daniel are at the dining table, you might notice how the set design is very different on different sides of the room. On Louis's side, there's a modern lamp - black and white art that is also more modern. On Daniel's side, there are candlesticks and a more classic art-piece with color. Any thoughts on this choice?

If you haven't spoken about it already, what are your thoughts on the ethics of Louis sharing Claudia's diaries/stories with Daniel? While he is protecting certain aspects of her life, the implications are still clear. Do you think this is something that Claudia would have consented to have shared?

Every vampire we've encountered in the show has had their own psychological issues and trauma - whether shown or implied. Is vampirism symbolic of this trauma, are vampires drawn to this trauma in others they turn, or is it just a coincidence? Furthermore, do you think it's even possible for vampires in this world - with the inherent traumas that come from transformation, like isolation from humans/their families - to be mentally healthy or morally upright? Is the only way to go with vampirism downward - or do you think there's a chance for redemption/positive change with immortality?
