Great start to the season, loving the exploration of vampire lore and what the actual history shows. Also really enjoying this 'new' dynamic between Louis and Armand, excited to see more of their history

vampires can cry, and we saw the blood tears in the pilot and a few other times in s1. the blood is a special effect and i saw a thread ab this on twitter saying they dont track every single tear bc of budget reasons or something like that. cause there are some scenes where if you look closely you can see that the actors are crying real tears, but theyll only track one of them down their cheek or make the waterline look red. like sometimes you can see the wetness on their cheeks but its not red lol just regular tears

lestat and claudia have so many parallels. there was another one in this ep, claudia seeing that vampire throw herself into a fire right in front of her like lestats maker magnus threw himself into a fire in front of him.
