So, depiction of sirens - what is generally thought of as the first appearance of sirens in fiction is Homer's Odyssey, which contains no physical description of them. However, in the late BC centuries, the depiction of sirens was popularly of human-headed birds. The later you go, the less likely you were to encounter a depiction of a male siren, and the human:bird ratio differs based on authors and time, but the classical depictions would most often be just womanly enough to be attractive, just enough bird to be deadly and monstrous. While I think the depiction the show offers is interesting, it is definitely not faithful to traditional depictions. (I think considering the fact that the traditional depictions lean into the "naked woman seduces hero" thing, Disney would probably push back against anything more faithful, but I haven't heard anything about what the discussion behind the design actually was.) The Sea of Monsters - the book this season is based off - is really big on the Odysseus references. Circe, sirens, Scylla & Charybdis, and most importantly Polyphemus. Polyphemus was one of the earliest obstacles in Odysseus's path, and his part of the Odyssey is an interesting study of Greek custom of hospitality. The "Nobody" trick lead to Polyphemus calling for help, saying "nobody hurt him", and as such, none of the other giants came to help him and Odysseus and his remaining crew escaped. A fun thing with Circe that may have gone over your head is that in the original myth, she turns men into pigs (something something men are pigs etc, or at least that's the popular modern reading, and mostly supported by the Odyssey depiction) but in Percy Jackson, she turns men into Guinea pigs. Progress, I guess? The bracelet is what Annabeth got from Luke when she was little, and then threw into the ocean. Tyson got it by "playing with Rainbow" because the hippocampus he befriended was excited to play fetch with something shiny. At least that is the most that we can infer off of what's been shown and we don't really get any more explanation. Hippocampi are also sea creatures, though, so there may be some Poseidon in it too.

Polyphemus is also Tyson, and Percy's, brother

This is the first time you spoke over the best line. It was the best line of the season. Even so, great reaction.
