Lexi's draconian methods are necessary. He is a vampiric addict who doesn't see anything but the next hit. His nerves are on fire, and his cells are jonesing. So Lexi puts him through a hard reset and the compounds it with pain to get him to feel something inevitable. This is how Stefan needs to handled otherwise why would he come back. Once he can see past the blood and how it makes him feel, them we can work on a limits. Also, Lexi wanted Stefan to find the balance, however Stefan is failure aversive. However him not talking about Stefan's problems with anyone is part of the reason they exist

Lexi methods don't work she has good intentions but she is the cause for the brothers to be apart, her self-righteous cause more damage than anything. It took her 20 years to bring Stefan back .It will take few days for Damon to bring him back because Stefan needs only his brother love and his kick in the but when he act like an ass, like only a sibling can do out of love.

I watch a few different reactors for this show, but I gotta say watching you watch this show really gets me in my emotions and teary eyed more than others, which is a good thing lol

This episode is another fantastic allegory on moving on and let go of things that hold you back. Elena is little by little growing up an seriously consiering her life, what is important and what is holding her back. To her her brother her dear friends athat have become her family are important and Stefan is holding her back. Se still loves him an becuase she is a very compassionate person she would never leave him in a bad situation, also they never had a proper closure. So between them there is this wierd situation that is in urgent need to addressed and sorted in one way or another, because Elena is not willing anymore to wait for him much longer to decide to be back. Lexi is good friend to Stefan and her intentions are pure, but I never thought her draconian method to bring Stefan back was ever so effective, it convince Stefan to switch back his humanity after decades mostly out of bordom rather that conviction. Elena will never do taht to Stefan but I don't believe Damon could do it too. We know by now that amon and Stefan love eachother, they might fight brutally, but they would never let anybody hurt each other, not even for Elena's sake. The other episode when Stefan was piling up bodies in the house, he didn't tell Elena to protecter from what Stefan is doing, he did it to protect Stefan reputation with Elena and anybody else, he doesn't like to badmouth his brother, he never did, he doesn't wash Stefan's dirty linen in public, not even if the public is Elena.

Elena and Damon are getting closer and closer the scene in the exercise room it was almost a kiss, she was so going for it, Damon stopped her by mentioning Stefan. The point is that Damon has being there for her always, she feels safe with him, she trust him implicitly, because he prove himself to her over and over again, even at the point of risking to get hated by her to keep her safe. And Damon is not a yes man like Stefan is, he challenge her, he has self respect and he stand by his believes. Like he doesn't like to fake emotions, if he doesn't feel he should apologise he wont, he doesn't like to lie and there is a precise reason to this, that is linked to a part of Damon's life we will discover later. That is why he is so charming and endearing because he is deeply honest. And don't think that Elena is not evaluating all of this in the back of her mind. In this show there isn't actually a love triangle, there is only stages of life and getting to know what Elena really wants in her life.

This episode is in literal sense 'blast from the past' and I loved it❤️It was so good to see Sheila, Lexi and Mason back. First of all extremely upset for Bonnie. Poor girl is out here trying to save the town while she has to find out that her boyfriend was caught kissing his ex- ghost girlfriend. All of her the moment so her being concerned and insecure about this whole Jeremy and Anna connection proved to be right. Do I blame Anna and Jeremy for being in love and wanting to be with each other? No. Jeremy has never actually broken up with two ex-girlfriends. Rather he just ended up moving on with the next person he found himself to bonding with and seemed interested in. I personally loved Anna so maybe I also being biased here but I understand that Jeremy wanted Anna to stick around. He did love her and all this time he has been able to spend with her again gave him hope that things could be beautiful together again. The only problem here is that it's being extremely unfair to Bonnie. I loved loved that Bonnie asked Jeremy to leave her alone and give her the respect by saving his explanation because none of it would matter. It is wrong for her and that is it. And huge respect to Elena for sticking up as a friend. Lexi's return was very nice. I loved how she was all about business and getting Stefan back on track. I don't know how much I approve of her methods because I feel rather than making Stefan go cold turkey on human blood; it would be better if he would learn how to feed and be in control. If he keeps repressing his vampire side it is always going to mess with him. But kudos to Lexi's effort. Getting inside someone's head is something we have seen before in this show especially in S1-S2 (Rose's last episode for example) so bringing that back was good. Now Mason and Damon's scenes I found hilarious😂I seriously think if only these two gave each other an honest chance they would have been pretty good friends and then we would a trio (Alaric, Damon & Mason). He wasn't a bad guy and his redemption line was fabulous! Damon and his charm is smooth like butter! It works like magic but also because he is speaking the truth. He doesn't do apologies unless he actually means them. And both Mason and Alaric gave in despite that crappy ass sorry because they know that it is coming from the right place maybe just not the right words. He needs to learn better but he is getting there. The whole loving a ghost dialogue was something Elena started off speaking about in relation to Jeremy and Anna and at the back of my head I was thinking but the same applies to you. And I was really glad that she mentioned it herself to Stefan at the end of the episode. Both Jeremy and Elena are holding on to their past the difference being Anna was literally a ghost living on the other side who just happened to be around for some time. Stefan right now is nothing less than a stranger to Elena because she doesn't know this side of him but because she doesn't give up on her people she is fighting for him and for them. But nice to see her standing up for herself and seeing herself as an individual too. Letting Stefan know that she can't just be hanging in the middle waiting for him to find himself. It just isn't fair to her although Stefan didn't choose this himself. But now he needs to choose to fight if he cares.

@Harry I agree with J-L, it is best for you to pause, because this show, you know already, has the content of a season in one episode and listening carefully to every word is so important since everything is connected and what you hear in one season episode that seamed non important, comes back in another season episode and it is all interconnected. So please do pause.
