What is Stefan’s trigger? I guess that any emotions could be a trigger to bring Stefan back. So what really is the trigger here? Stefan has being a dbag to Elena up to two minutes before she tells him SHE kissed Damon, and only then he goes soft. He wasn’t at all concern about Jeremy been almost killed, nor he thought twice about using Elena’s trauma to get what he wanted. So, why now? Because all of the sudden he realize that Damon is very much in the picture for real, and when he comes to Elena he is territorial. The narrative that he is respecting her wishes at all costs, crumble too, “I kissed Damon” her choice, but he goes home and punch Damon on the face like he should have, at this point some claim that override her wishes of kissing Damon, like she is his property. At list he sort of apologised, I haven’t heard the word sorry, but apologies aren’t the two brother’s strong suit. Still, he apologised only after Elena told him they kissed, so even there the apology sounds tainted with self interest, because before when Elena told him “what are you going to do kidnap me?” and after what he did his answer was “Don’t temp me” don’t tempt me???? But then he goes soft to “I kissed Damon”. 🤨 He crushed down the pedestal he put himself on in the first season with the “I’m a good brother” narrative, and exposed for the bunch of lies he told “When have I ever wanted to hurt someone?” etc. So he is not concern with Elena’s well being, he doesn’t have his humanity off, he is on a dimmer switch; he can choose what to feel. Himself is the only thing that he is concern of. I loved Stefan season 2 but Stefan season 1 and 3 is a shady self-servant and there isn’t any good enough excuse that can sugar coating that. That doesn’t mean that Stefan character isn’t likable, I love very flawed characters, objectively, so far he is so not nice or good, not because he is a ripper, but because one of his prominent trait is haughtiness and he act accordingly, so that is Stefan’s trigger. It is the second time that Elena is admitting things about Damon saying them out loud. Last time on the bridge to Matt she refer to herself as someone in love with vampires, plural, and now she admitted to Stefan SHE kissed Damon and that she doesn’t regret it. It is interesting the two version of the story she said in the same episode but to two different people, to Bonnie se said he kissed her and is not going to happen again. With Stefan she felt she had to be totally honest, with Bonnie she is afraid of her judgement because of the history that Damon has with her, but Bonnie seem to have past that period of being judgemental and being the good friend that she is to Elena she wouldn’t judge her, But Elena is not ready yet to be totally honest with her. Damon seem to like Bonnie, now helping with her mom research and being honest about him kissing Elena. I can’t help to love Damon blunt frankness, he doesn’t lie, he doesn’t want to lie, not that he is incapable to do so, it is just imbedded in his personality and there is a reason for it, that will be explain eventually. Meredith know about vampire because she is a Fell, her cousin was Logan Fell and he was transformed in a vampire, and if you remember he couldn’t get in his own apartment because it is assumed that when he was find dead by the sheriff she told privately to the family, part of the council, about his death and the real circumstances of his death, so they could sort out the properties of Logan, making them to the next of kin. So she knows about vampires, because she is part of the council and because of Logan. It is going to be awkward knowing that it was actually Alaric that staked him. I love Damon investigating Meredith to protect his friend. So who staked the doctor? Meredith seem to be the obvious suspect also because she is acting shady, like she blood-jacked Damon and she tried to take Alaric’s ring off his hands, even though she seem to be generally a good person. Bonnie’s mom come across bit of a selfish opportunist. I understand that being a Bennet witch is a great burden and makes you always in the middle of situations that are crazy and very dangerous and that the stories of the Bennet witches never ended well. Still walking out on Bonnie to seek an opportunity not t be anymore a Bennet witch and bail out your responsibly as a parent of your own very young child, and still be so willing to be a mother figure to someone else child, to me speaks volumes about this person.

Can I just say this, Parents in this show have only disappointed so far, the exception being Sheriff Forbes! Abby is a nice person because she does care for Jamie and is now ready to help Bonnie by returning to her magic if it means rebuilding her bond with her daughter. But that doesn't change the fact that Bonnie was abandoned however I am glad that Abby is going to make the efforts; better later than never. Her reasoning isn't sufficient but okay lets see how things go ahead. Bonnie is the best friend Elena needs in her life; the one who doesn't put her judgements onto her. She asked Elena about the kiss and kept it simple. She understood Elena wasn't ready to talk about it and while she wanted to speak about it; refrained from dragging it but also letting Elena know that she isn't going to judge her or force her to speak about things she isn't comfortable with yet. That's what I call 'best friends'! Tyler coming to sorry to Caroline was expected. The guy must be drowning in guilt because he lost control when it was the last thing he wanted; I can't get upset with him or ask him get to lost because it's not his fault. He doesn't want an ounce of it. And what was amazing was that for Caroline, he is ready to go through this intense amount of pain! I mean come on, how can anyone not respect this act? Tyler in my opinion doesn't need to go through this if he it wasn't for the people he loves and cares about in this case it is specifically Caroline at this point. I don't like Caroline's father but I have to tolerate him because he is trying to help in his own ways. Damon being the great friend to Alaric deciding to find out about Meredith was super sweet!! I loved how he said that he doesn't want Meredith to turn out to be a psycho because that's the last thing Alaric wants or needs and I absolutely love that Damon cares so much for him but of course would never confess to Alaric in the same words. Meredith for me is interesting at this point but simply for this episode, I have to say that I love how she is using vampire blood for the greatest purposes. She is healing people but my problem with it is that she is doing it without asking the source. I mean for example Damon didn't need to be vervained because if she had asked him for his blood just to prove to him that she doesn't mean any harm; he would have gone ahead with it. So like girl just do better in that aspect. Stefan and Klaus going on with their negotiations are funny! I do love how Stefan is acting all like he can continue stalling and Klaus wouldn't retaliate but then again he forgets that Klaus has met Stefan at a point in his life when he was full on in his ripper mode; so his craziness is well-known to Klaus and also would know how to hit him back where it hurts. 'No friends left' is the truth to an extent because Stefan is hurting people like Elena for his revenge but then he hasn't lost any of these people. Elena and Damon do care for him and have his back even if they are upset with him. Elena has by now certainly mastered the art of understanding the loopholes of compulsion and I would love to credit Damon for this; great company means learning fast😂And Stefan thanks for noticing the change in Elena. She is stronger and he can say thanks to Damon and Alaric who don't always coddle her but instead ask her to face things. After being away with Klaus, Stefan comes home to a "new" Elena. She's become stronger tougher. Alaric and Damon helped her, taught her how to fight, how to defend herself. Stefan noticing this change and acknowledging that it's good is something I like because he needs to see this and understand why it should be this way. This change isn't because of him, nor thanks to him, it was despite of him. Elena my darling I love how you change the way you word things in front of people for different purposes. When she speaks to Bonnie she says 'he kissed me' but when she tells Stefan about the kiss, she says 'I kissed Damon'. And I love it! It's important because Stefan should know that Elena chose to kiss Damon and it wasn't Damon who kissed to begin with because then Stefan would have gone on believing it wasn't Elena's choice. And the fact that she said she wasn't guilty because it happened was all heart❤️I know she isn't guilty that the kiss happened because it wasn't bad (like who the hell would regret it) but just felt guilty that he doesn't know and that I can understand and make peace with. Stefan not knowing would be wrong and good thing it came from Elena. But him saying that Elena is better than Damon made me laugh😂No I don't mean to say that I'm comparing the two but I would love to say to Stefan, do you know who took care of Elena while you were away? Do you know who helped her 'change' to become stronger and braver? Do you know who wouldn't want her to get involved on plans that would get her killed? Do you know who would go to her house and cook with her just so she wouldn't lose it? Do you know who helped her to take care of Jeremy? Do you know who has been her rock? Do you know who is becoming her best friend? Do you know whose presence was crucial so she would just keep going day by day? The answer is NO. So keep quiet. The second statement however is fair. Elena being human and only being 18yrs old is far better than the Salvatore brothers who have lived for many years as vampires but honestly can we compare this? In my opinion because it wouldn't be fair. We are comparing vampires who are 150+ with a human who is 18yrs. But I know he meant that she is too good for any of the two. Well that's for her to decide and we will let her make that choice on her own. Damon being cheeky and telling Bonnie about the kiss in his nonchalant manner kills me😂😂😂Poor Elena was flustered (she was avoiding him all this time but then he is right there in front of her, and notice how she shifts closer). But see this is what I love about Damon, he isn't ashamed about it and wouldn't lie or hide this fact. He doesn't tell Stefan because obviously he knows this is the last thing he needs to be hearing and I guess he also must think that Elena will tell him when she is ready. Stefan coming back home and reacting the way he reacted was fair. I wasn't expecting him to not be hurt and angry about the kiss and Damon took it well! He immediately knew why Stefan acted that way once he mentioned Elena and that shows how aware he is emotionally about others. He doesn't want to talk about it or give his explanation because he lets his brother take out his anger/hurt as it is justified. The masterstroke Damon hit was taking the closed coffin out of that place in the right amount of time. And he didn't stop just there, he undaggered Elijah!! Go on! This couldn't be better.

Question for ep12. What do you think about Stefan acting as a Dbag to Elena up untill she told him that she kissed Damon. 2) Do you think that Stefan ad the right to punch. Damon? 3) In a scale of one two ten how happy are you that Damon undagger Elijah? 😂

Maribel Humble

1) Stefan told Lexi that Elena was warm and compassionate. He saw Elena working so hard to get him back after leaving town with Klaus, but none of it mattered to him once Elena saw his ugly side. Stefan only focuses on what he has done but not what Elena did for him, even though he knows her compassionate nature. Once Elena tells him that she kisses Damon, Stefan’s demeanor changes because he sees Elena as his property. 2) I disagree with Stefan punching Damon after finding out Damon kissed Elena. Stefan had no right regarding Elena, especially after the horrible way Stefan treated her at the Wickery bridge. That incident was a horrible breakup is just that Stefan and Elena have not talked about it yet. 3) I give Damon a nine for taking out the coffin that mattered most to Klaus and for undagger Elijah. Damon made a good call doing these things because Elijah will go after Klaus for staggering him after saving Klaus at the sacrifice ritual, and for the most part, Elijah did keep his word to Elena.
