What are your thoughts on the Lunch Chat between Tao and Nick? Boyfriend giving Best Friend insight from knowing Charlie more intimately. Best friend giving boyfriend insight from knowing Charlie far longer. It’s a dynamic I don’t see often in shows. Arguably one of my favorite moments in the season.

HalfLighter

(called shot) Have you stopped crying yet? But seriously, now having the full series to look back on, what do you feel are the truly standout moments from the show so far?

Tony Holm

What are your plans for Heartstopper now that the season is done? are you gonna read the webcomics/graphic novels at all? If you do are you going to just read what's been adapted into the TV show already or would you wanna read ahead through everything that's been published so far?

Charlie

I’ve seen conflicting opinions on the scene where Nick approaches Charlie on the field and pulls him away. Some people say him grabbing Charlie’s hand was a pretty clear statement about them being together, but others don’t. Do you have any thoughts about this?

Nick22

Looking back on the whole season, what are your thoughts on Charlie's and Tori's relationship? Especially with the scene we got at the beginning of this episode, in which Charlie tells Tori how he feels. I don't think we have seen Charlie being that honest about his darker thoughts with anyone until now.

Christie Cameron

In the art room, it seems like this is the first time Tao has realized he has romantic feelings for Elle. Why do you think he hasn't noticed those feelings before? How do you think he'll react to having those feelings in future episodes when he's spent the entire season stressing the importance of their friendship?

Christie Cameron

Are there any secondary characters you hope to see more of/become more developed in future seasons? The parents, the teachers/coach, Isaac, Tori, Imogen, Nick's "nicer" friends, etc? If so, what do you hope to see from their characters?

Olivia

what are your thoughts on nicks coming out scene, i love how open, honest and comfortable he feels around his mum, at the end of the episode? i thought it was incredibly well acted and i cried so hard when i watched it - his mum is just so lovely who is your favourite character from the show? what is your favourite episodes/scenes from the show?

Olivia

having not maybe read the graphic novels yet or perhaps you plan on reading them, what are you hopes for the following seasons ( storylines, character growth/development etc )?

Olivia

this isn’t a question but once again would love to see you react to the bloopers and some of the cast interviews as they have such great chemistry together as friends especially kit and joe!

Aaron Davis

If any, what do you hope they handle better in the following seasons? For example, for me, it would be the passage of time. On more than one occasion I found myself saying “Oh! It’s been months!” Or “Wait…how long has it been?”

Samuel Fernandez

Do you feel that something was missing from the finale like a gathering with everyone or maybe a scene where Tao and Elle reveal their feelings for each other ?

Samuel Fernandez

Do you see a redemption arc for Ben ?

HalfLighter

Lol. I struggled to figure the time frame so often. Some episodes have a full month from beginning to end and it’s pretty inconsistent. They probably won’t have that problem next season since most of the major events in that part of the story are within a single month.

Aaron Davis

Here’s hoping. I really feel like it would help us understand how characters feel and react as well. Like I would’ve loved to know the actual amount of time that passed between the “Triple Date” and Tao learning about Nick and Charlie. Or even How much time passed from Tara coming out on Instagram and the recital. Not really NEEDED, but it’d still be nice.

Elle

It seems like part of the reason Heartstopper has such a broad appeal is how lighthearted and happy the show feels, even when it includes some more serious topics like homophobia/bullying. However, several moments in this episode (and particularly the first scene) hint at some pretty heavy themes around mental health that become much more prominent in the next few volumes of then comics. As they make seasons 2 and 3, do you think they should prioritize keeping the joyful tone of the show, or do you think it's natural that the show would become more serious as it progresses? How do you think the show has done so far with striking that balance?

Austin Calloway

What queer show or film (that you've seen) do you think is most similar to Heartstopper in style and tone? Somewhat relatedly, what would you say are your all-time favorite queer films, shows, and show plotlines? Which ones have really impacted you? Thanks so much for doing this reaction series. You have such thoughtful analyses and I really appreciate how you both react in real time and pause when you want to really mull something over.

Cherish would like a pet fox please and thank you

This is related to speculation about Season 2, but who do you suppose Nick will come out to? What do you expect about the aftermath once they start openly dating? As some people pointed out before, I think Nick was not just defending Charile when he stood up to Harry and the group's homophobia. He's also secretly afraid that this is the same treatment he'd get from the people he used to consider friends if he comes out. Do you think this would happen, or would Nick's popularity and status protect him somewhat? I mean I think Nick is probably more popular than Harry. It'll be cathartic to see Harry fall in popularity, if that ever happens, once Nick dumps him as a friend.

Can we all raise a glass to MVP Mr Lange who put our favourite boys together in form in the first place?

Steve Teeter

Let me ask a question about Sports Day, as I’m an American and we don’t do Sports Day here. Is Sports Day usually done on the last day of the term, or sometime else? It matters because if that was the last day of Nick’s last year at Truham, he left the rugby game knowing he’d never have to face the music. At the end of that school day he was no longer a Truham student. He’ll never have to answer for what he did to Ms. Singh, or the Headmaster, or any of the faculty or students. He’ll never have to walk those halls again, with everyone knowing he just came out publicly. If so, walking out on the game and claiming Charlie was still a bold and brave thing to do. But maybe a little less brave than I thought at first.
