Elena's first kill and she is nowhere close to being sane. We knew it was coming but the thing is that Elena is the only person who is a vampire and is actually functioning better as a newbie vampire as compared to others despite the roadblocks. She has figured how to drink blood without killing anyone and yes, she has killed today but it wasn't because she lost control, it was her rage. It doesn't make it easy of course not because she feels horrible, but it has happened. So now all of them can find out how is Elena is going take this, since Stefan was wondering in this episode. I am not pissed with Stefan because he didn't tell Elena the reason behind his deal with Klaus and wanting Connor alive. I am pissed with him because he talks about wanting others to trust him when he is not giving them any reason to trust him blindly. Like if you want them to listen to you, there has to be some information or discussion amongst all of them to go ahead with Stefan's plan. I get that he didn't tell them about the cure to begin with because Klaus had mainly asked him not to do so but also maybe because he fell for Klaus's assumption of how Damon would react to the news. I was actually happy to see Elena going out there to help rescue her brother. Both Damon and Stefan try to stop from going into the grill because they didn't want her to be revealed as a vampire to Connor, but I loved that she wasn't falling for it. She wants to save her brother and now she has the vampire strength to help her achieve her goal. She can protect herself and her loved ones just like her friends had been doing so far for her. She knows she is dangerous, and I like that confidence she is finding slowly. Damon and Elena discussing about Jeremy is always giving me the vibe that Jeremy is their responsibility as a pair. Elena attacking Damon to prove to him that she isn't the scared little teenager anymore was a good move! And Damon's right; for someone who says that she doesn't want to be like him, there is a lot in common. They both go crazy when it's about saving their loved ones especially their siblings since they're the eldest ones. Good thing Damon let Elena go to the grill because he trusts her ability to go ahead with it. She isn't a human anymore that he needs to be constantly worrying about dying; he lets her explore her strength and if needed make her mistakes. Jeremey poor guy yet again compelled. And no Harry it wasn't Klaus who compelled him; it was Stefan last episode. You remember when Damon dropped Elena home after the party, Stefan was with Jeremy 'talking'. And Elena figured it out which angered her more. All these secrets are going to blow up and it is just the beginning it seems. I'm excited but also super scared for how Jeremy's hunter mark is going to change things for him and the gang. Elena is his only family, so there's no way I am okay with him leaving town because things go crazy. They will have to figure this one out. But his hunter mark is also going to be the map for the cure!! So, what is going to happen? Are they still going to want this cure? Stefan and Damon's talk about the cure was interesting and insightful. The look on Damon's face when he found out from Stefan about the possibility of there being a cure was priceless. At first, he didn't know how to feel about it, but I think at the end of the day he simply decided to not give it too much importance just in case if it's not true. He has spoken about how much he misses being a human after he lost Rose and went out to kill someone to let his angst out. But he is far too deep into this life now as a vampire so will Damon even consider the cure for himself? Can't say. However, the important part of this question was both of their answers related to Elena and the cure. Stefan wants this cure because he thinks he can give Elena back the chance to live life as human. And that's really nice of him because yes, we know how much Elena didn't want to be a vampire. He says he will love her regardless but there is a 'but' and he doesn't want her to be this person. It's true Stefan had fallen in love with the human Elena, so it is difficult for him to accepting Elena as a vampire even though she is still herself with the vampire associated changes. Damon on the other hand is going to help with this quest with cure because he is going to support Stefan and if Elena chooses to want this cure. But it's not something he cares about. He is okay with her being a vampire or a human because for him he only sees her as Elena. I am not saying either one of them is wrong because they both are being true to their personalities. I can understand some people can fall out of love if they no longer recognise the person they once loved. It's actually about what Elena wants, and she needs to be given the time, space and acceptance from not just her friends but herself too in order to decide truly what she would like if there really is something called the cure for vampirism.

There are few things in this episode that set in motions other things that will have serious consequences either way, starting with Jeremy. He and Elena are the only family they have left and being a vampire hunter isn’t compatible with havening a vampire sister. He is now the key to a potential cure, but to do that he has to trigger it by killing vampires and that is not Jeremy, is not what he wants, he made that very clear many times, vampires now are part of his life, his family, his friends, are people he cares about, Jeremy is like his sister very empathetic, how this will impact on his life? Becoming a Hunter needs to be trigger, will he and Elena want it to be trigger for the sake of finding a potential cure they don’t even know if it is real? We know that Jeremy will want to Elena to go back to be his big sister and not be one of them, but at the same time we saw him in this episode coming into term with the fact that she is one and he knows she would never hurt him. The point is that not only Elena is kept in the dark, but Jeremy too and they are the one that mostly pay the consequences of it. One thing is Elena, as a big sister, having the responsibility to take though decisions about her little brother, to compel him to keep him safe, that right or wrong, it is her family business and her motivations are coming from a place of love; quite another is compelling him to keep secrets that involved him directly since he was a potential hunter. No wonder they got both pissed. Another thing to ponder about is motivations for finding this potential cure, to cure Elena and everybody else. While Damon has a more practical approach being cautions in believing that a cure would actually exist but considering the possibility, Stefan is full on board, probably because he has heard the story directly from Klaus and Rebekah, but probably also because “it is the answer to all your prayers” as Klaus said. So what are Stefan’s prayers? There is no doubt, of the fact that Stefan would probably take it since all his life as vampire, as far as we know, pursued and went after anything that made him feel human again, and that was the premises of his relationship with Elena, he went after her because he was his chance to rewrite his story gone bad with Katherine as it was going before e discover she was a vampire, when he was human, Elena is the good doppelganger and he could love her for her good qualities as human. Now that Elena is not human anymore it seems that all Stefan effort is concentrate in keeping her good, because she is very compassionate and all the consequences of being a vampire conflict with how is she as a person as a human and she wouldn’t be able to cope with all the bad things that inevitably will happen. But that is not giving Elena enough credit, because even though she straggled, she can feed without killing anybody, and that now she can defend herself and the people she loves. The fact that she killed for the first time was something that before or after would have happen, it happen to Caroline to the perfect vampire that had less control of her blood lust at the very beginning than Elena had. So regarding motivation, we go back to the brothers’ conversation about the motivation of why both brothers feel about Elena being a vampire an while Damon is happy either way, leaving the choice to Elena, Stefan knowing she doesn’t wanted to be a vampire in the first place, wants her to be human again “because she is not supposed to be this way”. But she is not supposed to be this way because she doesn’t want to or because if she is a vampire she is not anymore the good human doppelganger he needs her to be? He didn’t ask her, he kept her out of the loop and he also compelled Jeremy another one directly involved. He is assuming and presuming for anybody else, but is Elena’s choice and it should have been Jeremy’s choice, not his.

I can't wait for you to see the next two episodes.

In season 1, episode 5, Matt told Stefan: “ I’m not saying this for you; I saying it for her, but she’s big on trust. So whatever you’re holding back from her, the more you try to hide it, the more she won’t stop till she figures it out.” Stefan should have listened to Matt, who had known Elena since they were children. Elena had good reason to suspect Stefan due to all information he had withheld from her since the beginning of their relationship. Elena discovered that Stefan was a vampire; she found Katherine's picture and his bloodlust/ripper issues. Stefan painted Damon as evil to Elena but saw there was more to Damon than just a monster. Stefan’s lies will not go unnoticed by Elena anymore since she is a vampire with heightened emotions and due to Stefan’s history of concealing vital information from her.

I managed to sort out the issue (or more-so it sort itself out) so shouldn't have any more issues!!
