What do you think of the last scene? Why her feeling for Damon magnified but not the one for Stefan?

Do you think Elena's problem with miscommunication with Stefan was her way to push him away or she was genuinely annoyed with him for not being open with her once again and that was the last straw? In your opinion they split up because she has feeling for Damon or she developed feeling for Damon because Stefan doesn't have what she wants and Damon does?

Stefan asks Damon to go over and speak to Elena because he thinks Damon is the only one to get through to Elena. How do you feel about this and how did Stefan realise this? Elena for the first time is happy about Damon saving her. 'You saved me' with that soft smile was a beautiful sight. She is being thankful, and Damon interrupts her because he wants to tell her that Stefan is not doing anything wrong. Why do you think Damon always stops Elena in moments when she is focused solely on Damon and getting close to him to remind her about Stefan? Is it to defend his brother solely or is it because he doesn't want Elena to ever be in the dark? He wants her to know the complete truth of the situation and only then make her decisions. It has to be real or nothing?
