Now knowing that Charlie was outed because someone overheard Tao talking and that led to the bullying Charlie went through, what are your thoughts looking back on how protective Tao has been over Charlie since season 1? It’s also interesting to think of Tao’s comment from season 1 episode 7 when he said that he thinks Charlie didn’t tell him about his relationship with Nick because “he probably thinks I’ll say something stupid and out Nick to all Nick’s mates, and obviously he cares more about Nick’s feelings than mine.” At this point in the season, given the information we learned this episode, how do you think Tao’s protectiveness for his friends and his fear of being left alone intersect and influence his decisions and actions?

what are your thoughts on what isaac said to harry in this episode and do you think this will have any impact on his future actions/thoughts as we already seen a slight change when he stood up for nick on the eiffel tower what are you thoughts on the way nick broached the subject of charlies potential eating disorder, considering hes still so young and has no prior experience or knowledge of this topic we got glimpses this episode of some troubles in darcys home life, where do you see this storyline going?

Olivia

we see a lot of new character pairings this season such as nick/elle and tara/charlie so are there any you would like to see more of - for me its definitely nick and tara as i love their friendship so much

Charlie's eating problem is finally talked about this episode, but the signs were there since season one- multiple scenes of him picking at his breakfast cereal or lunchbox, refusing the pizza Tori offered in ep7, etc. He also skipped dinner the day nick fought with his brother, telling nick he'll eat at home but later telling his dad he ate at Nick's. I think this show did a great job of showing how people with eating disorders often cover their symptoms with lies and clothing, so their loved ones only notice once it gets worse. Case in point, did you notice any of the signs at the time? What would you do if you were Nick in this situation?

i know you've already spoken a bit abt it, but what are your thoughts on the show tackling more mature topics - such as charlie's ED and things like consent in regards to intimacy? and what are your thoughts on how nick and charlie handled the topics? their healthy & mature communication is always one of my favourite things about their relationship, even if charlie struggles w some aspects. also, what are your hopes for isaac's storyline? i wonder if you've caught any of the hints dotted throughout the season so far as to where his storyline could be going (there haven't been a lot but they're for sure there) ;)

Let's talk a bit about the music and wardrobe in this show! I absolutely adore the soundtrack, especially in season one. Is there a favorite musical moment of yours so far? Did you recognize any of the songs? You've talked about Elle's style and Charlie looking good in green (i agree). Did any of the other wardrobe choices stick out to you? I personally find Nick's red shorts this episode hilarious (fun fact, Nick and Charlie's outfits this episode are the exact ones on the cover of Volume 3!)

The scene with Nick and Elle on the museum stairs ("you don't have to always have everything figured out; you can just feel") is possibly my favorite scene of the entire show. Do you think he recognized that she was overthinking her feelings about Tao and helped her on purpose, or was that just Nick being his in-touch-with-his-emotions, golden-retriever self? Also, what do you think generally about all the unexpected pairings we've gotten this season? Charlie and Tara talking about their relationships, Nick and Elle talking about feelings, the Nick/Imogen/Charlie hug, Nick and Tao finally connecting, etc.? Do you feel like it adds something that was missing?

Charlie

Curious about your thoughts on Ben and Nick’s conversation in front of the Eiffel Tower. Ben clearly has a warped perception of reality and seems to be rewriting his history with Charlie. Do you think he’s conscious of his words and is intentionally trying to reinterpret the past? Or do you think he’s really that oblivious?

Kay

Thoughts on the Nick and Charlie conversation after Charlie faints. I feel like it's handled very well and communication is so important in these stages of a relationship especially with something this significant and also on Mr Farouk and Mr Ajayi... Because I low-key adore them. Also... Charlie's reaction to Nick speaking French is wonderful 😂

Also, I wanted to write this separately. Once you have finished season 2, go back and watch season 1... How much of the ED storyline they sprinkled into S1 without us knowing is amazing.

Kat

I’m sure you would have talked about this some in the video, but do you have any new thoughts about Darcy’s character after this episode and her conversations with Tara in particular? Why do you think she doesn’t want to have the ‘I love you’ talk?

One thing I noticed while watching this episode was that we know so little about Isaac's character still. I think we as the audience often see him as this shy bookworm of sorts that keeps to himself but the way he absolutely owned Harry in that tiny clip as they do the worksheets just made me want so much more of that confidence from him. What do you hope to see from Isaac as the season continues?

i picked up on this after i read all the books and went back to season 1 - charlie picking at his cereal, never actually eating his lunch, skipping meals like the pizza offered by tori, etc.
