yeah, there's a sixth form at both schools. my high school had sixth form too. also, nick is sixteen, set to turn 17 in september - he's a bit more on the older side of his year group and i believe 18 months older than charlie.

I've seen two different asexual reactors cry at this episode and it really has made me realize how little representation that has and reminds me how much Heartstopper means to so many people

Definitely my favourite episode of the season. So much character development for everyone. So many beautiful moments. And lays the foundations for the rest of the season. And Tobie playing Isaac knocks it out the park. So glad we got to see Isaac's character develop.

Re: Nick and David’s relationship with their dad, I definitely think their ages during the divorce play a big part in both how they view their dad and also how they’ve developed as people. David was old enough to remember a longer relationship with his dad and (if my interpretation of the dad’s character is correct) more years spent trying to earn his dad’s attention and respect. He probably started to act out after the divorce because his dad was absent for his formative years. Whereas Nick has spent the majority of his development surrounded by the love and care of his mother and didn’t have as much of his dad’s negative traits surrounding him. I think there will be more to unpack on this subject after Episode 7

I continue to be a bit frustrated with the lack of solidarity shown between the girls when it comes to Imogen. Now obviously many in the group have problems with Harry so it’s obvious he isn’t welcome. But they’ve interacted more than enough with Imogen to not want Ben there. I mean sure, Imogen was clearly okay. But even a quick moment like “Get out of here” “Guys, it’s okay, he can stay.” Or even them just asking her if she’s okay with Ben being there would’ve been more than enough for me.

I agree with you on most of what you said. I didn’t really agree with the teachers hooking up being unprofessional. From the episode it seemed like all that was going on late at night and at that time I would figure they would be in their room so why not have fun. If they were off doing that in the middle of the day that would be a whole different story. I went on a few trips like this when I was in school and by this time at night most teachers had fully raided the mini bar. I totally think that Nick’s dad set up that call to get out of there. He probably only agreed to the meeting out of guilt in the first place. I have a similar relationship to my dad as Nick does and it comes more from Dad has moved on, new partner, possibly new family and Nick and Davids existence is an annoying reminder of a previous bad relationship he is trying to forget. I’ve seen it a few times with people who get remarried.

So can we all agree that Harry is the party pooper. Especially calling Mr Faruk and Mr Ajayi unprofessional for flirting and for 'finally' doing whatever else they did late into the evening on the last night of the trip. 😂 Patrolling for a party that most likely occurred after curfew hours seems a bit overkill. This isn't boarding school, it's a fun opt-in holiday after school is out, in the summer time.
