1) What do you think of Lilly letting Damon take the blame for the money she took and letting her child to be tortured? 2) After actively taking part on her children's abuse, Damon especially, Giuseppe physically and her psychologically, after leaving them, choosing another toxic male and in fact causing the Valery situation, trying to kill Elena, Jo, Bonnie, causing Elena to be in a coma, taking their house, destroying the town, do you think that discovering that she got some abuse too, excuse her somehow?

What are your thoughts on the comment below? It is one thing for a mother to be abused and another to let her children be harmed while she watches her kids being hurt by the same perpetrator who abuses her.

I'm finally caught up and able to ask questions. Please don't feel obligated to answer them all. Has your opinion of Lily abandoning her sons changed at all now that we know more about her relationship with Giuseppe? Has Lily really turned on Julian? What do you think her plan is? How do you feel about Damon trying to kill Julian knowing he was linked to Lily? What does it mean for the lore that Caroline is able to carry babies in her womb? Can all female vampires be surrogates, or was the Gemini spell unique in that aspect? Also, I realized in this episode, we sort of get confirmation that vampires do pee, because Caroline took an at-home pregnancy test.

True and apart from Mikeal Mikealson and Giuseppe Salvatore, are mostly the mothers in the show that shape their children personality, that effect them the most because a mother is supposed to be the point of reference for comfort and tenderness and she is what boys use as reference for future relationship with female partners. So if the mother figure is bad it damages the children and their future even more.
