Fan reactions to this episode are pretty well split, but one thing just about everyone agrees on is that it's not at all a fitting sendoff for one of the longest running companions, which I'm sure played a role in Power of the Doctor portraying Tegan as feeling unfairly forgotten. And it really didn't help that after the cast went rogue to add so much physical warmth to Nyssa's departure, this time John Nathan-Turner made absolutely sure he could be present on set to stop it.

Fifth Doctor: ( a passing thought ) "One thing about viruses, Davros, as we are sure you are aware, they evolve! Oh, look. This one thinks you're a Dalek! How interesting. It hasn't been pleasant, Davros! . . . Something else that evolves! Detachment!"

Have I missed something? I'm only seeing Part 2 of this reaction?

Yeah, it does feel an unworthy departure for a companion like Tegan. That definitely played a role in Thirteen’s last hour portraying Tegan as feeling unfairly forgotten. One of the nice things about Doctor Who, it runs long enough that eventually someone rectifies past mistakes, and gives the companions their due, maybe not all of them live to see it, but it happens, and it gets us every time.

Oh, by the way, unrelated to Doctor Who. Came across this a day or so ago. You were on my mind when I came across it. If you haven’t seen it, I figured you’d get a kick out of this. https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fi.redd.it%2F0gcsl7ou1o1e1.jpeg

Apparently, Ressureactionof the Daleks has a higher body count than Terminator 1 & 2 put together...

That role convinced me even more than Cuckoo's Nest how great an actress Louise Fletcher was. It takes a lot of talent and a certain kind of humility to become that instantly detestable the moment you appear.

I couldn't see it either (part 1 that is). Thought Jess had gone on holiday and hadn't uploaded it but when I saw part 2, I searched for part 1 where it says 'search posts' at the top right and it found it.

Thank Gawd!! Finally, the Aussie bag has skipped back to oblivion where she belongs. Aside from her having the hump throughout most of the stories she is in (The Visitation, Arc of Infinity, Terminus, The King's Demons), it is mostly her disgusting hypocrisy that puts me off of her the most. Her snidey remark to Turlough in Enlightenment when the Doctor says he needs someone he can rely on to stay in the TARDIS, "Someone who doesn't run away!" says Tegan, with a smugness she has no right to exhibit. Who was it, a few stories earlier, who fled to the TARDIS in tears and desperately tried to pilot it off of Monarch's ship, not giving two shits what would have happened to the Doctor, Adric and Nyssa! Who is she to scold Turlough at all? Back to Woop-Woop or whatever ludicrous part of Australia you originate from, bitch, and take your embarrassingly dated, hairdo and fashions with you. I rejoice at the knowledge of a future companion who will soon join the Doctor - Who is actually sexy, delightful and has a pair of breasts.... Tegans utterly flat and deflated lils held no allure at all.

Part 1 of this in Early Early Access wasn't released last week, I assumed that you might've bundled these together into one reaction, because its two parts instead of four. So I was confused when Part 2 came out, and I haven't even seen Part 1.

I was able to find it by searching posts, but for some reason last week, Early Early Access didn't get an email announcement like it usually does. Weird.

Thank you for a wonderful reaction. I'd say this one is up there for me - I think it had the biggest death toll of probably any story. Very dark with bags of sass & some deep conversations about human conciousness thrown in. An emotional ending too, it really packed a punch. So glad you enjoyed it! See you next time!

I normally just jump on Patreon, but I mostly do get a notification show up. Strangely I didn't either last Friday and it was definately uploaded last week because part 1 is dated 15th November but didn't show up on Jess's main feed, Just Frontios parts 1 & 2. I've strangely seen this happen before with Patreon though. It's like it lists it somewhere else & can only be found by searching for it. Scrolling down right now, it's showing up but wasn't there last Friday. Glad you found it anyhow.

Josef Schiltz

Mm, Jess. I was a bit puzzled about that too. There wasn't an E-mail as usual for Part One. Then I scrolled back and - Hey Presto! - there is was and I'm pretty sure that it wasn't there before. Yet I am always checking for new posts. Odd innit. Just enjoying the Fourth Doctor reviews on YouTube at the moment. Glad you like Five. Was a fan of Peter since he was in his previous role as Tristan Farnon in the Yorkshire veterinarian series, All Creatures Great And Small. The previous time that I saw him on television was a small role in The Tomorrow People with his wife - in future years - Sandra Dickinson.

Ah, I was already wondering how I could have missed Part 1 last week.
