Been refreshing the page for a couple hours 😂 so excited for this one

David Vandervliet

If you are a fan of Peri and the 5th Doctor, they have a lot of great stories set between PLanet of FIre and this one from Big Finish, starring Peter and Nicola

David Vandervliet

According to stories, the role of Sherez Jek was offered to Tim Curry, David Bowie and Mick Jagger

There's definitely a few good ones in there but quite a bit of the 5/Peri/Erimem run is kinda meh. Eye of the Scorpion, Church and the Crown, Axis of Insanity, Council of Nicaea and the Kingmaker are all the highlights for me.

Daniel Davies

After 7 years absent, Robert Holmes is back!

Frank Shailes

He didn't use her as a human shield so much as use the belt buckle which identifies someone not-to-be-shot-at.

Frank Shailes

He wrote some stories in season 16 (Ribos Operation, Power of Kroll) so it's only 5 years really :) He started The Five/Six Doctors for 1983, as well, but gave up...

Frank Shailes

It's a myth about Bowie, the first thing they wanted him for was the Lost in the Dark Dimension special proposed for 1993, same director so maybe that's how the myth started.

Peri's clothes must've started to smell. She still had on her Lanzarote outfit and was going on about lava in this.

David Vandervliet

According to "the Complete David Bowie" - "Bowie was definitely offered the villain's role in Peter Davison's final 'Doctor Who' episode in 1983 (filming clashed with the Serious Moonlight tour, so his management turned down the offer straight away). And in the mid-1970s Bowie met with the actor Christopher Lee to discuss recording a duet. They never did, but Lee was offered complimentary tickets to Bowie concerts for many years afterwards, and he eventually went to see a Glass Spider show!"

Frank Shailes

Yes but they probably had an instant-wash thing in the TARDIS (to go with all the auto-grooming gadgets David Whitaker mentions in the Daleks novelisation), whereas Peri still has her bikini non under her top - was she always thinking of going swimming on planets that have not seen water for billions of years?

Not me very early on Friday 1/17 waiting to see parts 3/4
