Thanks for a great reaction and some great after thoughts. I have to say that I really like this story also as it was well executed. I think the takeaway has to be the twist with Lytton & earlier classic who callbacks. Plus fixing the chameleon circuit I felt was a good touch. It's a pretty good one for showcasing humanity. The one thing I couldn't understand though is when the Cybermen took Perry off to change into something warmer. It did strike me as to why they'd care given their emotionless status - unless it was that they needed to question her /convert her to a cyberman & didn't want her freezing to death beforehand, but I'm not sold on that. Other than that a really good story. See you next time!

"Love the acrylics!" I knew that you would! One of the Cryons was - if I recall correctly - Faith Brown who was an impressionist. Which of the Cryons she played was quite recognizable with the costuming, plus the mask, in two important respects. She was Flast. Some of the vocal distortions were a bit problematic. It's just one of those things when the alien effects override the human voice to such an extent that understanding the dialogue can become problematic. I get a feeling that the TARDIS wasn't "out of practice". She was just fooling with the Doctor.

Another Cryon was played by the (at the time, current) Blue Peter/TV Presenter Sarah Greene.

Yes. Though Sarah had left Blue Peter at this time and was presenting Saturday Superstore with Mike Reid. Around this time, there was a phone-in section and one morning had Colin Baker and Nicola Bryant and one live call-in was by Anthony Ainley in full Master mode and both Colin and Ant went into full Doctor vs Master discourse. This might be a nice extra for Jess to react to at the proper time. Also, The Children In Need cheque presentation that was presented by Terry Wogan and Patrick Moore would be an emotional one. I am TARDISfully very, very sure that Jess would love to see both. Maybe when this season ends?

The leader of the Cryons was pretty cool. She was a hip Flast. Ha ha. That's a terrible joke, but like a hip flask I am full of whiskey, so you can't expect genius.
