i have a very vague feeling that the Rani has been mentioned once or twice in 'new who' (cant remember where - but feel certain she has been mentioned) and so its possible that where you picked up that memory string? dont worry too much about the northern English accents... im from london and need subtitles for those bits!.. the important thing is you get the 'gist' of what they say.

It is "the" Rani in this case where it's a title, like the Master or the Doctor.

Love all the doctors and I have been watching since I was five years old I am now 49. But this is the one where I feel: Really starts to come into his own.
