"Hey, you guys, what's going on here? This guy looks like the walking dead. Hey, which one of you guys is out of your casket?", D.J., "Revelation of the Daleks" This is a strange story with embalmers, assassin mercenaries, body-snatchers, and a bizarre D.J. - as you point out there's a lot going on and currently a bunch of disparate story threads (because I don't know if any group has met the others yet). Oh, and there is Davros. And Daleks. "I'm a nine hundred year old Time Lord. Not much dignity in scrambling over a wall like a small boy into an orchard on a scrumping spree.", The Doctor, "Revelation of the Daleks" So, we're now up to nine hundred with the Doctor's age. Note, that in "Aliens of London" the 9th Doctor also claimed to be nine hundred so with hindsight this will be a busy century for the Doctor if he still needs to be within the nine hundreds and we still have regenerations for 7 and 8 and the War Doctor before we get to 9. "You forget I'm a doctor. When they slice me open, I'll know the name and function of each organ that plops out.", Grigory, "Revelation of the Daleks" This guy is a bit forgettable but he does have some good quotes. "An attendant has been murdered.", "It's a pity it couldn't have been you. Oh, I do wish you'd get used to my sense of humour.", Tasambeker and Jobel, "Revelation of the Daleks" We don't like Jobel. Of course we've seen Clive Swift who plays Jobel before - he was Mr Copper dancing off into the snow in "Voyage of the Damned". "As in any paradise, my dear Orcini, there is always a serpent.", "And our malignancy is a particularly vile one.", Kara and Vogel, "Revelation of the Daleks" It's Eleanor Bron! - last seen in her cameo with John Cleese in "City of Death" - but, obviously, far more famous beyond Doctor Who like the first(?) female performer in the Cambridge Footlights and inspiring the first name of "Eleanor Rigby". And some acting credits. Hugh Walters who plays Vogel, the assistant to Kara, has been in Classic Who before. We saw him briefly as Shakespeare in "The Chase" back in 1965 but he was more memorable as Runcible, the video presenter, that the Doctor talks to in "The Deadly Assassin". "Hey there, guys. Hey there, guys. I said hey, the maiden in distress is a-coming this way. I wonder which one of you lucky fellows she's coming to see?", D.J., "Revelation of the Daleks" The weird D.J., entertaining the resting consciousnesses is played over-the-top by Alexei Sayle. I was quite astonished when I saw him in this role. He was known as an alternative comedian - for example, he played a continuing, but surreal character, in "The Young Ones" - and even impersonated a Dalek in one episode. I recall also being slightly astonished when Sayle had a small role in the third Indiana Jones movie. "Body-snatching is a capital offence on Necros.", Lilt, "Revelation of the Daleks" And Colin Spaull makes a first appearance in Doctor Who as Lilt - the grabby security chief at Tranquil Repose. Colin went on to play Mr Crane in 10's "Rise of the Cybermen" two-parter - interestingly, also directed by Graeme Harper who was the director for this story. And there's a directorial feel of Harper's "The Caves of Androzani", isn't there? "I killed him, and he forgave me. Why did he have to be so nice about it?", Peri, "Revelation of the Daleks"
