Yay Eileen!! I absolutely adore her, and she and Sam are adorable. She's such a badass in her own right, and I just love how sassy and strong she is. A perfect match for Sammy lol. Not to mention, how gentle and soft Sam is around her, and the way he always just smiles when talking to her. I do love this episode for showing us both the darkness and corruption of the British Men of Letters, but also the appeal someone might have for joining them. Whether it is for family, and companionship, and purpose, like with Mick and Ketch, or prestige, like with "Nobody Cares" dude, it shows us more of what they are like on an individual base. And also, really starts to draw the line in the sand between how Hunters handle emergency situations, and how the BMOL do. Especially since the whole Lucifer's child thing is the first potentially Apocalyptic event the BMOL have gotten involved with, whereas this is just another Tuesday (full pun intended for anyone still traumatized by Mystery Spot lol) for the boys. I also absolutely adore the parallels starting to crop up subtly for Lucifer's baby, and another main character on the show. Someone else who has been called a freak, and an abomination. Someone else who is intricately, and permanently, tied to Lucifer, bound to him in a way nobody else is. Literally meant for him. Someone else who people (aka angels) tried to kill before he was ever born, just because of the threat he might pose. Someone supposedly cursed, and damned, just for the simple fact of existing. And, not to mention... a mother killed shortly after giving birth to her 'cursed' son, a mother doomed to die in childbirth... just saying. History has a tendency to repeat itself, after all

Like I said, as of this episode, I’m shipping the HELL out of Sam/Eileen. They really do just light up around each other. Love how Dean has the supportive and quietly encouraging big brother energy to it. I hope that if I ever get lucky in love and find the woman for me, that my brother would have the same energy as Dean did here. Certainly, I love his quiet moments where you see him thinking, “You picked a good one, Sammy.” and later, when Mick points the gun at her, the big brother energy flares up, which says, “That’s my little brother’s special lady that you’re threatening here!” Have a laugh too when Dean’s wearing the one shirt, I think, “I’m pretty sure I have that exact same print on one of my shirts.” Detestable though the organization is, yeah, it is neat to explore the myriad of reasons why people would join the British Men of Letters. Such as “Nobody cares” dude, I like that, wanting the prestige. The “just another Tuesday” line, rather than thinking of Memory Spot, I have Raúl Juliá on the brain when hearing that line, or some variation. Yes, the whole parallels with Lucy’s baby that Kelly is carrying, I know that it’s all familiar, I just, just can’t seem to place it. History is a cycle that does tend to repeat itself, like you say.
