It looks like he probably died in the original timeline and she somehow got his powers from him and then went on a revenge murder spree. I wonder if he died because some organization kidnapped him for experiments to try and steal his powers?

Cool this one feels alot more organic than that first draft. So two future paragons with incredible potential have been found before it hits the fan. Guess she absorbed his power when he died and spent the next few decades mastering it. Miss returnee is really on the ball! This one looks fun! Hope to see more!

This is intriguing so far. It kind of reminds me of that one novel based around a Demon Lord of Sloth that just has the story move around him. It's just the first chapter so I'm sure things will be different, but I'm getting good vibes from this.

Not gonna lie, I do enjoy the silliness a lot more than the original idea. I like when the world is going to hell and the characters decide to put on sunglasses and do a silly dance just for the heck of it anyway.

both likely got experimented that ended th wJin getting kanatas power or Jinyue was actually a power copier/thief who wasnt interested in switching to other powers

I really like this. Would love to see more. I'm guessing either a rogue part of the church/government was involved in trying to exploit the pair and killed Kanata in the process or Kanata saved Jinyue somehow transferring his life force/ability to her to save her life while on the run. Could also be some other shadowy organization but if the group that caused the tragedy was part of the government/church then it would explain Jinyue's roaring rampage of revenge against the world. I look forward to Yue realizing what had happened and becoming hellbent on eliminating the rogue organization to prevent a similar tragedy from playing out.

Hmm good chapter but idk I liked the other Returner idea more personally. The MC being a lazy type isn't that appealing to me and I liked being the childhood friend of the Returner instead of a 'villainess'. The way the MC could see how his childhood friend changed and didn't change from her future experiences was very interesting and won't happen her since Yue is a stranger to him. But oh well this story is good too so can't complain too much

It also makes me wonder if her being antagonistic to humanity was due to a cover up, as if some secret organization killed Kanata in the timeline and she rampaged to destroy them, then if the truth didn't get revealed to the public then it would make her look crazy.

Yue is 116 years old no? And experienced so much, so Its a bit dissapointing that she start spouting and seeing and measuring/judging things with simplistic flawed one sided basic superficial "Evil" concept that she put on things/people here in her though as first reaction/view, very one dimensional simplistic and shallow take and view used on things to me for a mature 116 years old person who experienced so much
