It's true: Death Stranding is a nearly six-year-old game, and its PS5 port -- the Director's Cut -- came out back in 2021. So no, this isn't exactly a timely posting. Or is it? After all, Death Stranding 2 launched on PlayStation 5 in recent weeks, and with it, many people are looking backwards towards where it all began, including me (Colin). Indeed, I've spent an ungodly amount of time with it en route to a Platinum Trophy. So I figured, why not get some content out of it? To talk about the experience in-depth, please welcome Punching Up's Gene Park and Summon Sign's Brad Ellis for a rousing chat about perhaps Kojima's most powerful (and zaniest?) work to date. And remember: Chris and I discussed the original way back in November of 2019 as well, so if you're looking for that episode, it's Episode 17 (yes, 17!) of Sacred+.

The final scene with Die Hardman should have won him best performance at the game awards that year. That scene gives me chills, it's so so good.
