It's me, Colin! Please welcome my good friend David Jaffe back to Sacred+ for another rousing rendition of Moriarty x Jaffe. In today's ever-meandering conversation, Jaffe and I discuss a number of gaming-related topics: Gamescom and ONL, Battlefield and Call of Duty, Ninja Gaiden and Shinobi, Helldivers 2's imminent launch on Xbox, Rod Fergusson parachuting in to save another BioShock game, and a ton more. We also touch on non-gaming issues, as we often do, such as recent happenings like Cracker Barrel's redesigned logo, the future of the streaming ecosystem, and why 1989 was an exceptional year for film. Jaffe as someone who went to college near Lumberton, NC that has a HUGE Indian population, Lumbee and Haliwas specifically, I promise you they don’t find Indian offensive. They all refer to themselves as Indians. I’ve never heard any of them say Native Americans. And when I used that term they say “just say Indian dude”

Colin the hub world in Doom Eternal is such a small aspect. Once you’re on the ground it’s by far the best out of the Dooms and for crying out loud play with a mouse and keyboard. Playing Doom with a controller is like playing Wii sports without a wiimote 😂

Cracker Barrel renovated so they can sell the land/building easier when they go out of business. That’s why all the fast food places look like that too. Really hard to sell an old Pizza Hut ans renovate it to not look like a Pizza Hut. Easy to do with how they look now. The logo was dumb but it takes a smooth brain to insist anything about this situation is “woke” or “DEI”.

Honestly, I don’t know you and you don’t know me. But what I do know is that you and me are both geniuses and one of our biggest problems are is that we think too much and we’re too scattering. We have too much clutter in our brain so it’s very hard to process our trauma past present and potential future that’s what gives us a lot of trauma or a lot of pain.
