Moriarty x Jaffe: Late Summer Ruminations | Sacred Symbols+, Episode 474

It's me, Colin! Please welcome my good friend David Jaffe back to Sacred+ for another rousing rendition of Moriarty x Jaffe. In today's ever-meandering conversation, Jaffe and I discuss a number of gaming-related topics: Gamescom and ONL, Battlefield and Call of Duty, Ninja Gaiden and Shinobi, Helldivers 2's imminent launch on Xbox, Rod Fergusson parachuting in to save another BioShock game, and a ton more. We also touch on non-gaming issues, as we often do, such as recent happenings like Cracker Barrel's redesigned logo, the future of the streaming ecosystem, and why 1989 was an exceptional year for film. I think one of the big reasons I miss Constellation is Jaffe. Sure he has his own content he makes, but it was always a treat to see him interact with all the LSM crew. Love these 1-on-1’s also!

Not a big deal, but it would be cool if you told Jaffe to plug his channel at the beginning of these episodes. I told him a couple years ago to plug his shit at the START of his appearances on other peoples’ channels, n I remember his reaction just kinda being like “it’s not my style to just promote myself without being offered to” or smtn like that. I been part of his community for many years and he’s always been rly bad at promoting himself (and I get why. It feels icky). But he’s on here so often, it would be cool if u guys did it. Earlier today I saw on Crowder’s channel they had someone on for a light debate, and immediately right at the beginning before anything else, the host told the guest “tell everyone where they can find you.” During the intros. (Edit: I get that this episode didn’t even really start with intros, but usually they do. On Constellation there was always a quick intro for each person)

Loved the show but I have to say Spiderman as in the IP is owned by Sony they bought it from Marvel in the 90s and Disney licenses the character to appear in the MCU. Sony owns the character and it is there golden goose, both gaming and in terms of films.

i hope I'm not alone with the opinion, that the episodes with Jeffe have a very special vibe! You both talk so real and the flow is awesome! On top, Jeffe has often an very interesing and different take ob gaming an non gaming topics! So pls do more crossovers, or maybe an own show with Jeffe! Hopefully there are lots of fans of this aspecial guy!
