And I was wondering why no one explained anything to me, they didn't even allow me to walk half a meter without a wheelchair, if I had heard that in the hospital I definitely wouldn't have survived 😅😂

I just read the conclusion from the hospital just 🥲

Now I perceive these photos a little differently - it turns out that no one around was exaggerating 😅😅😅 and I was thinking what is the tragedy out of nowhere 😅😂😂

Cardiac tamponade is a very serious and life-threatening condition, especially if treatment is not provided in time. However, mortality rates largely depend on the cause, how quickly it is diagnosed, and the quality of care.

Key facts about mortality:

1.Without treatment:

Cardiac tamponade can lead to death within hours or even minutes because the heart cannot pump blood effectively.

2.Timely treatment saves lives:

•If pericardiocentesis (fluid removal) is performed promptly, the chances of survival increase significantly.

•Mortality rates drop to 5-10% with proper medical intervention.

3.Depends on the cause:

•For tamponade caused by trauma (e.g., a penetrating wound), mortality can reach 80% if treatment is delayed.

•In cases caused by inflammatory processes (like in your situation), the prognosis is better, especially with appropriate treatment of the underlying cause.

4.Chronic tamponade:

When fluid accumulates slowly, the body partially adapts, giving more time for treatment. The risk here is lower compared to acute tamponade.

Your case:

You have already undergone a life-saving procedure (pericardiocentesis), and doctors are continuing to investigate the cause to prevent recurrence. By following medical advice and monitoring your condition, the likelihood of another critical episode is minimal.

The most important thing now is not to panic, stay in touch with your doctors, and continue with diagnosis and treatment. You’ve already overcome the most critical phase!

I'm so glad they were able to treat you and the treatment was successful. The world would be sorely missing you if you had left us too soon.
