“Please don’t leave me.” Elena begging form damon to come back is so depressing to watch. Nina does such an amazing job at acting. I genuinely elena’s heartbreak and pain over losing someone she loves all over again.

Damon was a true hero this episode. His noble sacrifice helped bring his brother back and save everyone in mystic falls. the last selfless thing damon does on earth is help Liz out too. I’m gonna miss him so much, it’s not gonna be the same without him.

okay i know we’re mad at luke bc damon didn’t go through but biases aside, luke allowed liv to continue the spell for as long as she could hold it, but at the same time it was actively killing her, and he was just trying to protect his sister lol

I cannot wait for the early access to get the intro and the post reaction discussion. At the beginning of my TVD journey, season 5 wasn't one of my faves and I actually disliked the middle portion of it, but the past couple of times I've watched it, season 5 is actually pretty good, and the finale is epic! I can't wait to see your next reaction.

It makes absolutely NO sense why Luke stopped Liv instead of just having her channel him. Him, who is very magically strong. But they had to make the ending happen somehow

since bonnie mentioned that was their only one shot to elena, i’d assume it works vice versa; where she can’t get out of the active spell either. stopping it to add luke would essentially end it maybe?? liv was the only origin of this spell, and she was channeling it by herself. i feel like that could be a valid reason perhaps. and it was a vulnerable spell so adding luke to the mix would also put him at risk, adding to the fact that he had just came back from the dead 2 seconds ago haha. lukes worries were directed to his sister only, i don’t think he cared that much for the others too lol

This episode genuinely made me crash out when I first watched it
