Instagram tabs #weekendwankshop280 Hey kids, its your good buddy Uncle Ben Eller, and i have a confession to make... i am a THIEF! I watched @Troy Grady 's incredible Cracking the Code series on Frank Gambale's economy picking secrets, and i was blown away! I knew i had to steal some of his concepts and apply them to my own playing. Being a natural downwards pick slant player, connecting upstrokes has always been a weak spot of mine, but NO MORE! Now i have some ideas i can use to shred upwards pick slant economy picking in my own playing, and so will you!! In this video, i'll show you how i use Frank's unique up up up down picking sequence in my arpeggios and minor pentatonic licks. You're gonna be shredding faster than a cheetah in a speedboat in 15 minutes or less! Gear: Suhr Modern Satin, Axe FX 3 Thanks for watching, and be sure to watch the entire interview/lesson series on Troy's channel next!

Love this lesson especially for someone like me that has a weak picking hand for leads. Thought this was a cool variation just for getting the feel down in you hands. X shape finger1 e string 2 b 3 g 1 g, 3 e 2 b 1 g still following the up up up down model. Also trying a 4 string up, up, up, up down design with the same idea. Idk just my two cents and a good exercise for me. Cheers and thanks for keeping up with the lessons!

I am a guy who tends to pick everything really hard, so it was nice to hear someone talking favorably about the feeling and the sound of that!
