Most excellent chapter, I absolutely love what you're doing with Quirrel. This is how Quirrel should have been. Warm, competent, friendly, and trying to be an ideal confidante to Harry. Wonderful work!

Ok, What the hell? In the chapter Flitwick asks to tutor him, he also asks him if he wants to join the dueling club, but during the chapter where the first lesson happens, it's as if that never happened, and he asks again as if he never did but now it requires special screening from the headmaster. Then during the troll incident, it is explicitely stated that the shield charm is for later years, but now all first years are learning it?????? You keep contradicting yourself!

I am starting to suspect that Palpatine is now hitching a ride inside of Quirrel's mind though I wonder if he replaced Voldemort or if they are both attached to him now.
